Jerry Nelson, Sesame Street's The Count, confirmed dead [updated title]

Here’s Floyd singing with John Denver at THE GRAMMYS!

Suggested epitaph:

He Counted.

Aww. Sad news :frowning:

One of my favorite bits: The Count meets Patrick Stewart.

Awww :frowning: When I did tech support, I had a little floppy Count stuffed thingy on my monitor at all times. Lost that somewhere, but my sweetie got me a Count bookmark. Not the same, but yeah. Really liked that guy.

One Two Three,
RIP

Batty batty bat, batty batty bat bat.

Halfway Down The Stairs

Aw, geez, it sure is dusty in here…

But who’s counting?

Nobody, anymore…:frowning:

Kermit & now Robin. Oh, man:(

The Simpsons rerun last night was the Halloween Treehouse of Horror XXI, which featured “Tweenlight”, which actually featured The Count.

Emmet’s gone?

:frowning:

Someone should list all the characters he portrayed in one post so we can count them.

Just go to his Muppet Wiki page. There’s way too many to cut & paste, plus there’s lots of neat pictures of him performing some of his more popular characters. He also had a small part in The Cube, that experimental TV movie Henson did in 1970 (the one every Gen-Xer thinks might have just been a dream!)

Puppets have always said things better than I, (poor human) can.
I wish I had one to express my sorrow, that another mind that contained loved characters has gone to the puppeteer pit in the… well. To the vaudeville theatrehouse with the puppeteer pit, next to some of his good buddies.

RIP (Revel In Puppeteerheaven), Jerry!
