There’s a model of $30 Sony headphones that I really like, but they tend to stop working in one ear after about a year.
Then on the other hand the surprisingly decent earbuds that came with my original GameBoy in 1989 still work great.
My Sennheiser HD 470’s still sound great but the foam earcovers are disintegrating. I bought them about 13 years ago. The plastic headpiece broke once years ago but I epoxied it together and it has held for many years. I haven’t found any ear buds or smaller sets that sound as good. The one thing I don’t like is they are open field.
