Delphica has asked me to join her in acting as Assistant Coordinator of this event, which I’m most honored to do. So I’m giving this a little pre-Labor Day bumpitty-bump, so folks know to plan for this. We hope as many as possible can join us.
The Patriot is located west of City Hall, between Church Street and West Broadway. Almost every north-south subway line comes reasonably close: the two closest are the 1/2/3/9 and A/C Chambers Street stations. But it’s not far to walk from the City Hall stations on the N/R, 4/5/6 and J/M/Z, or from the E at World Trace Center.
My e-mail is in my profile - please use it if you need additional directions.
Hmmm, I have yet to make it to one of these events, simply because of family obligations (two kids under 5, etc…). However, I will be in town that afternoon, and will try to impose upon WordWife to see if I can’t make it…
So count me as a “maybe” and I will do the best I can.
I know some apartments in the area that are really cheap. Unfortunately, they’re also unavailable
Thursday’s a crappy day for me too, as I have a class at 8pm. However, I work a couple of blocks away from The Patriot, so I can stop in for a beer or two before hopping on a subway to class. Heck, I just might show up early
My Dad used to work at a state office building at the corner of Chambers and Broadway that is now a wicked expensive condo. Hee hee. The same dump where we used to see dead mice in the traps each morning now has apartments selling for over a million each.
They have very limited food, of the greasy bar variety, but the REALLY greasy kind, not the TGIF kind. You might want to eat first, and then maybe eat at the bar later, after the bar dancing.
