I don’t know how popular this is in English-speaking culture, but in Germany and much of Eastern Europe the term Absurdistan is often used to describe certain conditions (eg. nonsensical law gets passed, people sigh “Welcome to Absurdistan”). It gets as much google hits as, say, Waziristan. There’s even a movie called Geboren in Absurdistan.
