Pizza pizza pizza!

I really hope that green stuff is peppers...

03-07-2003, 12:25 PM
Quite a feat! Over four thousand mundane, pointless posts in a single thread!

03-07-2003, 12:35 PM
Since the begining this
Thread has been breaking
Untold numbers of SDMB records!

03-07-2003, 12:44 PM
Well, Osirus, did you by the copy of .hack/signs or did you get it from...other sources...

03-07-2003, 01:25 PM
Xerox is my friend today. It copies, sorts, collates, folds and staples!

Yearning am I for a flirt from my Homebrew.

03-07-2003, 01:29 PM

03-07-2003, 02:26 PM
Like a virgin - Madonna. Now if I can find Homebrew, I can remedy that.

03-07-2003, 02:36 PM
Oh, by the way!
Perhaps you remember what somebody mentioned back in the early infancy of this thread.
Quite a good idea indeed.
Someone said that
Talking alphabetically would be the answer to world peace and that it would completely
Undermine any
Very angry conversations?
Well, it works! I got
Xtremely mad at my boss last night, but before I said anything,
You know what I did?
Zpoke in
Alphabetical sentances!
By God, I was surprised how quickly I
Eventually my boss
Figured out what I was doing and broke out into
Hearty laughter!
I was supprised how
Just a
Kinda simple thing
Like that worked everything out for
Now, if
Only the rest of the world could follow the A thread's example!

Quick! Throw a bucket of cold water over BioHazard!

03-07-2003, 02:41 PM
Sure looks like an interesting number of posts there Bio, 666

03-07-2003, 02:42 PM
Rest assured, BioHazard, your attempts at world peace will not go unrewarded!

03-07-2003, 02:43 PM
T be sure, Fallfast, we must notify BioHazard that it is time to post again!

03-07-2003, 02:44 PM
T[b]ruly awe inspiring [b]BioHazard.

03-07-2003, 02:44 PM
Unseemly, these typos are!

03-07-2003, 02:45 PM

03-07-2003, 02:47 PM
Verily I pine for attention from Homebrew.

Considering the .hack that I have, well, let's just say Hawaii has LOTS of Japanese who are very proud of their anime and like to share.

Doing the full explanation .hack is supposed to be a full A/V experience. You watch the series (//sign) then you watch the movie (//liminality) and play the first page of a PS2 game (//infection). There are 5 parts of the game and a few more parts of movie. It's a total experience. I watched about 7 hours .hack//sign yesterday. 2 more to go, then the movie and then I can play, hoooray!

Post padding is an honorable activity on this thread.

Quietly posting again.

Fern Forest
03-07-2003, 03:50 PM
Quite sure they do. Only since the series involves a person stuck in the game they take the artsy stance of keeping all action within the game. A few black & white shots here and there but really they show almost nothing.

Really though it does appear that they do not. Like I said their actions don't appear to match up to well with their situation.

03-07-2003, 03:55 PM

Joey and their other friend
Kevin. The three of them were quite rambunctuous and annoyed
Lydia, Joey's mother. So they were sent to their bedroom where they spied on
Milicent and her husband
Norman who were yelling at their teenage daughter
Olivia about her boyfriend
Peter who had brought her home after 2am.
Quincy, who lived above them, was trying to ignore them while talking on the phone to
Rachelle. They were gossiping about
Stanley, their co-worker who was having an affair with
Tracy. They also discussed her husband
Umberto whom she met while overseas. They were worried because
Victor, her brother, was very violent.
Wendy was listening to Racelle's half of the conversation when
Xavier came knocking on her door. He had brought
Yolanda who had discovered that
Zero and
Adam had built the house that
Bob lived in until
Chuck burned it down while
Dan was watching. Meanwhile
Edgar went shopping where he ran into
Frank who was with his wife
Gertrude. She was quite cordial and invited Edgar and his wife
Harriet to dinner on friday. Well their son
I, who was only 6, didn't want to go to a boring dinner so he spent the night with his friend

Quiet I went yesterday.

Regrets for my silence!

Such is life at times, it keeps me hopping.

Thankfulness deep to Watcher.

Unbelievably wonderful were the blueberry pancakes and hash.

Vehemently I declare that Watcher is now not just Cook, but Chef Imperial of all the Universe!

Warning to all:

Xtreme penalties will be inflicted upon

You all by the

Zealous Twickster if you cast

Animadversions on the skills of the Chef Imperial.

03-08-2003, 07:06 AM
Bereft we were, yesterday, without the wise SBS, whose queenly glow inspires us all.

Chef Imperial seems just reward for the wonderful meals Watcher provides.

Dost not we all enjoy Watcher's talented ability to whip up whatever we request?

East-coasters, it's our time to post, while Lobsang and VivaLostWages slumber.

For with a little effort, I think we can make it to 100 pages this weekend.

Gadzooks! will not the celebration be merry then?

Watcher of the Skies
03-08-2003, 07:50 AM
Happy I am, to be of service to the supreme and benevolent ruler of the universe and all her minions (of which I too am one).

Surf's up Osiris, *Switches to official capacity - For you this morning (if they still make it) is a big bowl of Post Alpha-Bits cereal and suggest you put that game down for a few minutes and go outside for bit of that wonderful Hawaiian weather. Actually, its Alpha-Bits for everyone on the a-thread this fine morning. And since she got her order in early, for Twicks we have some fresh hot blueberry pancakes teleported directly from Jordan's in Bar Harbor, with a side of bacon and some Vermont grade A medium amber 100% pure maple syrup.*

Watcher of the Skies
03-08-2003, 07:53 AM
I think this thread has brought me to one of life's little truisms (if you'll permit me to blather on). One can work for a lifetime and finally be appointed "Chef Imperial of all the Universe" only to come to the realization that all the universe really needs is some good hash browns, some nice blueberry pancakes, and some good hot coffee (and maybe some Dr. Pepper but not for me).

03-08-2003, 08:31 AM
Juicy berries in these pancakes, Watcher; merci beaucoup!

Kind of odd that 83 pages into the most mundane and pointless thread ever, you'd experience an epiphany of that magnitude.

Like, wow, man. [/surfer slacker]

03-08-2003, 08:47 AM
Morosely I stare at my bowl. *Alpha-Bits*???

Not at all to my taste. If it has to be cold cereal, couldn't it at least be that chocolate/peanut butter corn pop one I can't think of the name of?

Off day Watcher must be having.

Poutingly yours,

Queen SBS.

03-08-2003, 08:52 AM
Really think we could get to 100 pages by the end of this weekend?

Still 17 pages away.

That's, um, 850 posts!

Uncertain that we could do better than 400 posts a day.

03-08-2003, 08:59 AM
Verbosity has never been a problem yet.

03-08-2003, 09:05 AM
We don't post-pad, of course -- but due to Kat's unXplained absence the last couple of days, I'm closing in on her count.

Yoicks! I could retake the position as #1 poster in this thread!

Zany, eh?

(Aphabits are delicious! I have an empty box on my kitchen counter right now, because I want to send away for the Free NightSpyer MiniScope.)

03-08-2003, 09:16 AM
But...But...but.... "NightSpyer"??? Should I alert Homeland Security?

Jack Batty
03-08-2003, 09:18 AM

(I couldn't think of anything else to say.)

03-08-2003, 09:24 AM
Don't worry, SBS, I'll use my NightSpyer MiniScope for good, and not for evil.

03-08-2003, 10:07 AM
Evil-doers beware! Twickster is hiding in that shadow....

03-08-2003, 10:29 AM

E[b]xiting news, all!

[b]Five posts will catch me up to Kat!

Guess what I'm doing before I take my shower?

Heck, it doesn't count as post-padding if you do several letters in one post, right?

03-08-2003, 02:16 PM
I'm thinking now that should be "exciting," not "exiting."

Just so doggone strange to use "exciting" properly, for an "e," and not the cheesy "x" move we've all done more than once.

Kindness of strangers, I've always depended on.

Philadelphia still rules, but last week (or was it the week before) I got caught up in the spirit of witty 60's references. Or maybe it was the Firsesign Theater quotes that keep coming up.

Way to go - 84 pages! No stopping us now...

03-08-2003, 02:38 PM
Quickly we move ahead.

Really quickly.

Sometimes you just have to blather though. There's time to stop and smell the roses. Ugly and beautiful, dangerous and health-giving, roses remind us of the paradoxes of life. Vitality istelf is a paradox. When something is born, it begins to die in some sense; or is it that every birth is also a death? X-rays show is that life and death are entwined deep in the structure of every living thing. Youth is just a phase...

Zed! It's Zed, not Zee! All you folks at Toronto radio station Z103.5 get that through your heads! Because it's really grating to hear it in the fitness club when I work out. Could you try to be Canadian in your station-ID at least?

Damn. Even my friends think I'm turning into an aging eccentric. Fortunately, I'm fighting for inner youngness. Grumbling about trivia like this is just a way of letting off steam. However, there is a 'ha-ha-only-serious' side to it... I do feel myself getting older. Justifiably, too: I turn 40 this summer.

Karma, I think, is the reason why my life has turned out as it did. Like many, I tended to act out of fear, not courage or love. More than once I didn't overcome my fear and ask someone out when I had the chance. Now it's too late. Our society is fixated on youth; being forty is a significant barrier to romance. Perhaps I'm wrong, but I just don't see a chance that any woman would be interested in me now.... Quite disturbing, it is. Really disturbing.

Should I shut up now?

There--I just dropped it in at the right time... :)

03-08-2003, 02:39 PM
Quiet, Smeghead -- remember I'm the Supreme Judge and Executioner of this thread!

Right-o, Watcher, nothing like a Firesign Theater reference to warm this middle-aged heart.

Santa Barbara, they were from, where I lived in the mid seventies -- I saw them perform live once, funny stuff.

03-08-2003, 02:41 PM
Think you'll come to the next Philly doper gathering? I wanted to go to the Imax trip, but it turned out to come right in the middle of a work crisis (which happened right when my bf's mother died, not to be a downer or anything).

03-08-2003, 02:42 PM
Undoubtedly not something to be proud of -- but I'm now the top poster in this thread.

03-08-2003, 02:45 PM
Very interesting post, sunspace,

which I just noticed, being caught up in my own little solipsistic trip ther for a moment.

Xstacy is still possible after the age of 40 -- I'm 48, my bf is 55 and bald. Who'da thunk?

You want details?

Ze accomplishment is admirable Twicks, we are all very proud.

We suspected that the 47 in your name might be an age reference.

Ah, don't worry about it, twickster47. But thanks.

03-08-2003, 03:15 PM

I just want to say I'm feeling happy right now. You know how it is, when you've been procrastinating over something for a looong time, because you don't want to deal with the negatives of changing? And then you make the decision...and you feel such relief?

03-08-2003, 04:05 PM

Share the details...well, I've been getting more and more aggravated about an unfair situation at work, but I knew that there would be no 'easy' solution due to staffing cut backs and office politics and so forth. Basically I've now decided to immediately start looking for a new job AND will start on a course of action that is going to cause problems and unpleasantness at work. Hopefully I will be able to be gone before the old workplace becomes TOO unpleasant as a result. (I ranted about it in the Pit, title something like 'You're the ones who chose to have children' so you could read about it there -- 'fraid I don't know how to do links.)

If I could figure out how to do one of those "spoiler boxes" I'd put the answer here.

03-09-2003, 03:41 PM
Kool and the Gang. (No, that's wrong.)

Watcher, do this: type the word spoiler between brackets [ ]

Then write whatever spoilage you want.

Then type the word spoiler between brackets [ ] again, but put a slash mark / before the word: /spoiler

That should do it.
