Just running out of things to say.. maybe we should start a story?

Karl was walking down the street one day when....

Lou started yelling at him from across the street.

"Man, you're 20 minutes late with my pizza! It's free now!" said Lou.

"No way. It's only been 15 minutes since you phoned for it." replied Karl,

"Order slip here says 6:30. It's 6:45."

(Phoning actually took place 18 minutes ago)

"Quit messing with me! It's been 20 minutes!" With that, Lou grabbed the pizza and started running down the street.

Rapidly, Karl started running after him.

"Stop!" he shouted.

Tripping on the street curb, Lou fell over and the pizza went flying.

Upside down, the pizza fell on the head of Wanda (yeah, I'm cheating a bit)

"Very good," said Karl, "You can't even run without somehow messing it up.

Wanda wiped the pizza off her face and exclaimed "YOU IDIOT!" "Look what you did to my (guess...) Xylaphone!"

Xylaphone dripping with pizza sauce, Lou looked at it and started apologising and trying to wipe it all up.

(You see, Wanda is a professional xylaphone player for a symphony)

"'Za! You got 'za all over me and my xylaphone! Just apologising doesn't cut it!"

And so on.. and so on.. continue the story if you want hehe... Sorry for any grammar/spelling errors, this little creativity spurt came after a few beers.

By "orientation" they mean "spend a week drinking as much as you can every night and doing lots of stupid stuff while destroying your body through alcohol and not getting very much sleep because during the day there are activities (like Club Signup Day) that you have to be at" :) Night.. good luck!

Well, I missed out on the Virtual Breakfast frenzy because I was too busy setting up for a neighborhood barbecue this evening. I've got the grill set up in the garage, and the thermostat cranked up to summer temperatures. (How's that for defying a dreary winter day in Vermont?) The slaw is made, ditto the potato salad. The steaks are marinating, plus a pile of dogs for the young'uns. Got a big (new) trashcan full of snow & water and cans of soda, plus another with bottles of beer, and more of both waiting to go in.

It's summer, dammit, if you clap your hands loud enough.

Ready for more flirting, swampy dear?

Landshark
02-23-2003, 06:57 PM
Rats on simul-posting! But I don't mind using sperfur's Q to jump ahead.

Khadro
02-23-2003, 06:59 PM
So, how long do you think this can continue? Can we beat that stupid, imbecilic LotR thread?

Landshark
02-23-2003, 06:59 PM
Simul-posting galore. :)

twickster
02-23-2003, 07:01 PM
Triple simulpost -- I'm proud and, dare I say, humble to be part of such a moment.

Fern Forest
02-23-2003, 07:03 PM
Unconceivable!

twickster
02-23-2003, 07:03 PM
Unusual but cool to be simulposting with someone on the opposite side of the globe -- it's 7 pm Sunday here. What time is it for you, Khadro?

racer72
02-23-2003, 07:03 PM
Unlikely double posts at T.

Fern Forest
02-23-2003, 07:04 PM
Very happy am I to beat twickster and racer.

XXX is an burger joint near Seatle. In honor of this simulpost...

You think I should go there for dinner?

Zounds! That's a great idea!

koeeoaddi
02-23-2003, 07:15 PM

Ah, the joy of multiple simulposts in the evening....

Khadro
02-23-2003, 07:17 PM
By all that is holy, can we please stop this simulpost madness?!

Kat
02-23-2003, 07:17 PM
Bound to happen, again and again.

twickster
02-23-2003, 07:17 PM
Amazing! I'm simulposting with someone who's not only in a different time but a different day. That is so cool! I'm such a nerd!

By the way, koeeoaddi, we've already had problems today (by which I mean "today," hee hee hee) with people sharing food.

Careful -- we don't want to start any more tiffs.

Kat
02-23-2003, 07:18 PM
Can I keep this up much longer. Who shall I tie with next? :)

samarm
02-23-2003, 07:20 PM
Definately not me!

02-23-2003, 07:20 PM
Dyno-Bites -- the name of the generic coco-krisipies I'm eating for dinner.

Deny it if you can, simulposting takes talent.

Khadro
02-23-2003, 07:21 PM
Does no-one have anything better to be about?

samarm
02-23-2003, 07:22 PM
Excellent quadruple post! Now lets shoot for the quintuple!

Kat
02-23-2003, 07:22 PM
Eventually, this will get old. But not yet. :)

Fern Forest

samarm

Holy cow, page 35!

samarm
02-23-2003, 07:30 PM
If anyone learning the alphabet was reading this thread, they would think it went something like this:

A A A B C A D D D D E F E F F G H I I I...

:)

samarm
02-23-2003, 07:32 PM
Just keep on going...

Landshark

Let's order Chinese for dinner.

twickster
02-23-2003, 07:38 PM
Let me see, haven't you already noted that, kat? (Or is that a "katty" remark? ;)

Miraculous! We're within 100 of the thread that we're not necessarily competing with.

02-23-2003, 08:16 PM
Xylophone players deserve respect, by the way. It's an unpopular instrument.

Kat
02-23-2003, 08:16 PM
We won't, so don't worry about it.

Does someone want to do the math?

samarm
02-23-2003, 08:21 PM
Cake. When come back, bring cake. Oh, and bring some apple pie for Mongo too. Mongo like apple pie.

samarm
02-23-2003, 08:22 PM
Even close, yet?

Khadro
02-23-2003, 08:25 PM
Damnit, that LotR thread is still about 30 posts ahead of this one.

Kat
02-23-2003, 08:25 PM
Free cake? Is it chocolate?

samarm
02-23-2003, 08:25 PM
For god's sake, someone reply! I get scared on my own, in the dark...

samarm
02-23-2003, 08:26 PM
Good quality chocolate. Lot's of it. In fact it is called "Slow death by chocolate, but not actually involving death in any way". I know it's a long name.

Kat
02-23-2003, 08:27 PM
Go turn on the lights, then!

Khadro
02-23-2003, 08:28 PM
How's this. We are at 1741 posts. The Lotr Thread is at 1765. Almost there...

Kat
02-23-2003, 08:29 PM
How can I get my hands on some of that?

samarm
02-23-2003, 08:29 PM
If we all go postal with the posting (eh?) then we can do it within the next 20 minutes.

sperfur
02-23-2003, 08:31 PM
I wonder, did you have to count each post to tell how many swampbear, etc, posted?

Just curious if there's an easier way I don't know about.

Fern Forest
02-23-2003, 08:31 PM
Jeez! I love Gau Gee, how can you not have heard of it?

samarm

Just send me $10,000 in small unmarked bills. Then we'll talk. Capiche?

Kat
02-23-2003, 08:32 PM
Just do it!

sperfur
02-23-2003, 08:32 PM
Khadro is who I was directing that message to, but anyone who knows is welcome to reply.
