Indeed it is. Here's a link to a discussion on a fan board for the show:

Does anyone know if they'll be making any made-for-tv movies to continue the story of Providence where they left off? They did that for The Pretender.

At least they gave Providence's old time slot to Mister Sterling, another good quality tv series.

On a side note, I wrote this Providence drabble last year. For those of you who don't know what a drabble is, it's a very short story told in exactly one hundred words, no more, no less. You can have up to fifteen words just for the title. Writing a drabble is an excellent exercise in getting right to the point. Here's the link to the drabble I wrote dedicated to the tv series 'Providence':

You'd have to be very familiar with the other tv show 'Due South' to understand this drabble.

I can't believe that's butter!

Is the number of words in the title included in the total word-count of one hundred?

No. The story must contain exactly one hundred words. The words in the title are in addition to that.

I'll get you a link to more information on drabbles. Are you interested in trying your hand at writing one? It's fun.
