View Full Version : Ideas for foods

Anyone ever invented a food or had ideas for some? Original recipes are okay, but I'm not really talking about a different way of making meatloaf (toss in some seasoning at this point when you're cooking it, and use this sauce; there, I invented a new meatloaf!); no, I'm talking about some kind of original concoction or variation of something existing.

I got some of those shrimp-flavored chips at a korean grocer a while back- the kind you fry up w/ some oil in a pan and eat- and it got me thinking if you could make shrimp-flavored french fries. Some of you are gagging right now, some of you are intrigued, and Bubba is going off to make some.

Watcha got?

Okay, I looked it up and those shrimp chips are supposed to be french fries, although they are considered chips too. But you get where I'm going with this- I'm talking about soft french fries like from McD's, but with shrimp flavor fried in. I guess I thought the shrimp flavor was good but I wanted soft fries instead of crunchy ones out of a bag.

Oh man, that's my favorite way to cook. Things I've done with that approach:

Chocolate Duck
Candied Ginger and Pear Ravioli
Salmon Sashimi with Mint Cream Sauce
Vodka Lobster Ceviche
Shrimp Margaritas
Rhubarb Salad
Hot Pepper Whipped Cream
Celeriac Bread Pudding
Avocado and Champagne Soup with Raspberry Finger Paint

tryna remember some more . . .
