View Full Version : How to burn video CD?

I've got a new DVD player to replace the dead one. Standard Apex fare, it's supposed to play DVD/VCD/SVCD/DVD-R/DVD-RW/DVD+R/DVD+RW/CD/CD-R/CD-RW/jpeg/MP3 .

I've also got a bunch of home video on my hard drive encoded, mostly, as mpeg1 & 2.

Can can I watch these videos on my new DVD player? Hopefully, I don't have to spend more money for some fancy video conversion software. I have a CD burner on my home machine but a DVD burner on my laptop if necessary.

Everything you want to know about it is here (http://www.videohelp.com/vcd). I made dozens of them before I moved to DVD. They all work fine on the DVD player in the living room, and on the computer.
