With season 5's kick-off less than a month away, I figured it's about time to get the pump primed.

It's been 7 months since any new eps, and I'm dyin' over here. Let's have some discussion now that a new promo (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bXAz78Rhguo&eurl) is up.

From the promo:

Looks like Penny & Desmond's been busy while off the island, and cooked up a kid.
Sun has a license to kill.
Looks as if Kate's taking Aaron back too.
Who's plane is that? Is it the plane that brings the O6 back, or someone else?
Yupp, that's Locke on the island, so there's got to be some more time-twisting taking place.

And some burning questions from last season:

Where in holy hell did the island go?
How do they find it? Obviously Ben knows.
What's with Locke's body in the casket?
What's Dharma's next move?
Is Jin really really dead?

There's more, but I need some help remembering...

I'm still catching up on the series on The Science Fiction Channel.

Can't wait!

And Jin isn't really, really dead. I firmly believe he's only mostly dead.

well he's back

Can't wait, can't wait!! However, if they do anything to my beloved Desmond & Penny, after their marvelous reunion, I'll -- well, I don't know but I'd be mighty upset. It's bad enough Sayid has lost 2 loves.

Yes, I'm trying to catch up. But I have no free time to watch my Season 4 DVDs.

Still. Can't wait. :)

Oh - and the dog better be safe. You can't kill the dog, since he knows things. Think how happy Walt will be when they are reunited. Or do y'alls think Walt has to go back to the island too?

I wonder how they'll continue to work Walt in and what part he has to play in the rest, if anything. I think Vincent's figured out everything that's going on, only he can't talk, so he's not able to tell the others. Unless they take a page from Lassie:

Sawyer: What is it boy?

Vincent: Ruff!

Sawyer: What?! You say the island is really hiding an ancient flotilla of mystical alien craft harboring advanced technology, and that mankind has only just begun to scratch the surface of what secrets it holds within?!

Vincent: Ruff!

Awesome, I just finished the DVDs of Season 4. Masterful work.

Some additional burning questions from Season 4:

Who's really in the right, Ben or Charles Widmore?
What is Jacob, and why does he speak through Jack's dead father?
What connections do Charlotte, Miles and Daniel have to the island? And what exactly is the job Widmore hired them to do? We know the military guys were supposed to capture Ben, but how do those three fit in?
Who does Mr. Abbadon work for, and what does he want?
Should or shouldn't the Oceanic 6 try to return to the island? Ben and Locke feel they should, but what about Kate's vision of Claire in the season finale?
Why did Ben abduct Alex from Rosseau and raise her as his own? What do Rosseau and Ben know of one another prior to the ccrash of Oceanic 815?

This is all on top of the long-standing mysteries - What's the smoke monster, why is Walt special, etc, etc.

An open question that I'm not sure if it's meant as part of the overall mystery or not - is Oceanic Airlines part of the Linus/Dharma/Widmore conspiracy, or are they just a civilian company that's been, like the general public, taken in by the lying everyone's done re:the fate of flight 815?

Speaking of the Season 4 DVD set - the insert, in the form of "Oceanic Air Flight Safety Manual" was a hoot. But I prefer when I actually get a guide to what's in the set - episode summaries, descriptions of bonus features, that sort of thing.
