Although he was best known for his roles in musical theater, Presnell also is remembered as William H. Macy's father-in-law in the Coen brothers' 1996 film "Fargo."

"I'm not talking about your damn word, Jerry."

Celebrities are dropping like flies!

Most people don't know that Presnell started out as a romantic lead in The Unsinkable Molly Brown. After it flopped, his movie career died until he came back as a character actor in the 90s. I also remember him as Mr. Parker in The Pretender.

He was also a very convincing General Marshall in Saving Private Ryan.

He was also Rotten Luck Willie, the gambler in Paint Your Wagon. What a voice!

I guess it was back in '79 or '80 I saw Presnell as Daddy Warbucks in the touring company of "Annie." He was fantastic!

RIP Harve.

That's the first show I thought of. After having to listen to Clint Eastwood and Lee Marvin "sing" it was a real treat to hear Presnell do They Call the Wind Maria.

And geez, I didn't recognize him as Mr. Parker!
