View Full Version : Supernatural November 12 2010 "All Dogs Go To Heaven"

Have we seen these "dog people" before?

I liked it, but it was clearly filler. We learned nothing, gained nothing, and Sam just took one small step forward toward getting his soul.

Definitely a "meh" episode, which is still better than most TV.

I liked it. I like dogs, and part of me wanted Mandy (?) to keep the Shepherd, until I remembered that he'd killed her boyfriend, and watched her in the shower.

Did you think the lighting was different this week? It didn't have that moody Supernatural sepia tone, or whatever it's called. There were some really bright, sunlit shots.

Dean needs to be a bit more sympathetic. It's not Sam's fault his soul was stolen. Give the guy a break.

Don't be hard on Dean. It's not easy to see your brother - with whom you have a strongly codependent relationship - replaced by a stranger with the same face and memories. I'd be just as cranky.

I'm actually all caught up for once!

Anyway, I actually really liked it. I mean, I hope they re-soul Sam before too long, because I want my show to be the Sam and Dean Show, not the Soulless Sociopath and Dean Show, and this is going to get old, but right now I am entertained. Dean calling Sam Dexter cracked me up.

As for the lighting, Eric Kripke says a season 2 episode commentary that the dim lighting is a function of filming in Vancouver where it's always cloudy, and isn't intentional. OBVIOUSLY this is not exactly accurate, since there are other shows that film in Vancouver, and they rarely inspire things like my friend's Supernatural Drinking Game: drink whenever it's so dark you can't tell what's happening. But I think the bright lighting in this episode was just because it happened to be particularly sunny when they did the outdoor scenes whereas it's usually cloudy and rainy.

I thought Lucky the dog was a pretty good actor.

So, does the guy who played Lucky always get typecast as a supernatural being? The last thing I remember seeing him in was True Blood, playing a vampire.

I really, really, really, really, really like Crowley.

I really, really, really, really, really like Crowley.

Me too, but I can't stop calling him Badger.

Don't call President Lampkin that! :D
