I read somewhere that squirrels or raccoons (can't remember which now) are able to mimic other animal sounds around them. Does anyone know? I was rather surprised by this article

so I guess anything's possible.
I look forward to your feedback.

Must be some reason for the term "Copy cat."

Note that McAfee is currently giving me a warning on that page.

I have a handful of squirrels that live and breed in my backyard, but have never heard them make any interesting animal noises. Then again, I usually have my doors closed.

All I can find so far is a youtube video purporting to show a squirrel sounding like a bird.

Well, for years I thought that the aggressive chirping of squirrels around my house were birds. But that's not because they were trying.
