For the past couple/few weeks, I've had the same song in my head whenever I come into the office and sit at my desk: Kids In America, by Kim Wilde (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UqMcevcUmqg). As it happens, I was a teenager when the song was released; so I was a 'kid in America'.

That's my current earworm. What's yours?

For the past few days Mrs. Cretin has been tortured by Bobby Vee's "The Night Has A Thousand Eyes." I know because she keeps complaining about it. I tried to help out by singing the "angels came" line from Honey, but it didn't take.
I could administer the sure-fire antidote: "Second verse, same as the first!" but the cure might be worse than the ailment.

Stevie Wonder keeps telling me he doesn't want to bore me with it but he loves me, he loves me, he looooves me.

For removing really stubborn earworms while not leaving any annoying aural residue of its own, you need the Marseillaise (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4K1q9Ntcr5g). Sing along for maximum effectiveness.

Whether it's the apparently random melodic modulations, the effort involved (for native English speakers, at least) in keeping track of the French lyrics, or the disconcerting way (again, to native English speakers) that the dynamic accents crash down on what we would think of as unaccented words, it really does a good job of killing earworm without becoming earworm.

(The link has all the verses so you can re-apply as necessary.)
