I don't know about "dying out" but they're definitely in decline. Closed almost 2000 storefronts in the past couple of years. Granted, they've got over 25,000 stores, but still, 2000 stores is a very large drop out of a very large bucket. They're overextended at the very least.

If that's the case, then you also have to question Steak & Shake, Boston Market, etc. Without a clear definition of what constitutes fast food and what doesn't, we could argue about most of the items on the list.
