Turns out, this was the right answer. I sent a mssg to the manufacturer, and got a prompt reply:

" ... we always like hearing from our customers.  Our gravy is a brown gravy that we put with quite a few of our beef patty meals.  The steak sauce is a garlic butter sauce..."

If I was in their marketing dept. I'd add "garlic butter sauce" to the packaging for those items! Damn, dude, lost revenue opportunity.
