Although I haven't seen it on television (it turned up during a game on my iPad), I actually enjoyed this commercial for the Purple mattress, featuring comedian Mallory Everton as Goldilocks.

It's unlikely that I'd ever buy one of those mattresses, but the commercial is intriguing and Everton's gags are amusing.

This chick is the reason why I like this commercial for "Stratosphere Hotel: Take Vegas Back".

Also I like the Mazda commercial featuring "Back In My Baby's Arm" by Patsy Cline. The video is not available though. I'll post more commercials I remember.

I have no idea what Slack does, but I can watch their cool B&W cartoon commercial with its catchy tune over and over.

I came in to mention that same ad. It gets that old animation vibe and music just right, tells a story, and sells the product without hitting you over the head with it. It's got style.

My current favorite is from Priceline with David Robinson and Latrell Spreewell. For those of you that don't know the characters, David Robinson was the model all-American athlete, went to the Naval Academy and fulfilled his Navy obligation before turning professional. Spreewell was the poster child for being a bad boy. Although an NBA all-star, he is primarily known for having choked his coach and turning down a $21 million contract because "he had mouths to feed". He hasn't played since.

The Heinz Barbecue Sauce commercials with pitmasters. It's silly, but makes its point.

The first few times I heard this commercial I was so engrossed in it I didn't realize what or who was doing the advertising.
A very well produced commercial, and even the actors have honest, legitimate expressions on their faces.
The taxi driver's face is priceless!

There was an old car dealership ad from PNW area that started with a close-up of a golf putt, and as the camera backs up we see some old fartload going, "Expecting Jack Nicklaus? No - it's me, Dave Buck."

Here's a perfume ad directed by Spike Jonze that is 3 minutes 45 seconds of WTF weirdness, and 3 seconds of advertising.

I like the Geico youtube commercials that do a setup, tell you they're going to cut to the end so you can watch your video, then cut to a weird ending that makes you wonder what happened. They're cute and amusing, and short enough that they don't get in the way of watching what you want to.

The Reese's Summer Olympics commercial with the skier trying different summer games and failing adorably. I especially like her rhythmic gymnastics and fencing tries. And how proud she is of herself once she gets on the horse.

I mostly watch on my Roku, so don't see many commercials. But I really love the audible.com commercials.

Here's an example.

You see a person jogging, or a person on a beach-- i.e., someone listening to an audiobook-- and the voiceover is text from the book. When the camera backs up, the jogger is at the head of a bunch of guys marching into battle, or the woman on the beach is sitting in a desolate landscape on another planet. "Stories that surround you."

This commercial is brilliant.

Alpacas can be used as pack animals.
In fact, that's where the name came from.
"Hold still while I pack ya."

ETA: I'm pretty sure that it's a llama.

No matter how many times I see it, I still laugh at the Clearasil commercial, where the Mom comes barging into the room with laundry and huffs, 'Steven!' all through his life until he's 90 years old and a robot/hologram mom with laundry basket STILL comes barging into his room.

I just saw a Farmers Insurance commercial with a living room that, I guess, was flooded? and all the dogs jumped in and performed a water ballet. (I love Farmers Insurance commercials, they're all entertaining!)

The first time I heard that, I would have sworn that it was Tom Hanks doing reggae rap. Listen again and see if you don't hear it.

I like the whole series.

But after spending more than an hour on the phone with DirecTV yesterday morning, trying to get Sunday Ticket to work (every year I have the same problem! DTV has the worst customer service I've ever dealt with) I actually asked the tech if he thought Peyton Manning had to sit on the phone to get his Sunday Ticket to work right, too. I don't think he got the reference.

I like them, too. The one where he shares a park bench with an elderly man who gives advice it good. His sad, pensive look after the punchline is pretty funny.

During NFL coverage yesterday, they played a bunch of funny ones like the lemonade stand and Aaron Rodgers/Clay Matthews/housefly/golf club bit mentioned upthread. However, do we really need to see Matthew McConaughey drive a Lincoln during *every* break?

I'm not sure these have been mentioned somewhere in the three pages of this thread, but my three favorites of the past few years are:
1. The Directv commercial with Glen from the Mailroom
2. Meathead Rob Lowe for Directv
3. That ATT commercial with the guy talking with the kids, the one about the island made of candy, that black kid always cracked me up.

The commercials I hate the most, by far, are by friggin' Orkin. I have a r**ch phobia and they will just spring them on you in their commercials without warning. I can't reach the remote fast enough. I'll never use Orkin for anything.
