I used to know a lesbian couple where the two women simultaneously did not resemble each other, but still somehow both looked like Michael Cera.

I can not think of a way to tell someone they look like Michael Cera without making them cry.

There's a hot dog vendor at the Oakland Coliseum who looks like William Devane.

Doesn't mean he has to like it.

When I was in school I knew a guy who could have been Robin Williams double.

The weirdest one I ever saw was a guy who looked like Adolf Hitler. He had his hair combed like that and everything. I figure the guy must have been insane, or maybe he was the pre-internet version of a troll.

He's aging better than Gere, though.
Does he get any gerbil jokes?

I once had lunch in a little greasy spoon in Kansas City, the painted waitress at which bore a strong resemblance to Christy Canyon.

Have I mentioned that my dad can't stand Richard Gere? For the past 40 years and change, he's been complaining about how this obnoxious, wimpy, mediocre actor has been walking around with his face. I wouldn't recommend mentioning gerbils.

On the bright side, there are probably a lot of people who don't see a strong resemblance between your dad and Richard Gere at all. I'm one of them. I mean, I'd put them in the "look sorta alike" category, but nowhere near "this guy is walking around with this other guy's face" category.

I knew a guy like this in high school, except he was blond. When he put on a mustache and uniform (we were filming a home movie called Der Führer) he could have been Hitler's illegitimate son.

I was in high school during the Cars' heyday. A friend of mine was a ringer for Ric Ocasek.

Another friend of mine was once told that he looked like Jesus Christ. Since he was an outspoken atheist, this greatly annoyed him. Naturally, we started calling him "Superstar".

In college, I knew a guy who had long hair and a beard. He often wore sweats, or a tracksuit. We occasionally referred to him as "the jogging Jesus".

When I was in my 20s and 30s (when the Christopher Reeve Superman movies were on TV a lot), I was often told that I looked like Clark Kent.

there is a former NHL coach, Dave Lewis, who looks a little bit like Hitler and he even had the small Hitler moustache for a while.

A few years ago I visited the Negro League museum in Kansas City and saw some pictures of Rube Foster, and was amazed at how much he looked like my old boss. I won't post a picture of him here without his knowledge, but the guy I was with at the museum agreed that the similarity was incredible. So I sent a picture to my old boss, and even he said it was a bit spooky.

On my last submarine, one of the reactor operators was the spitting image of Lionel Ritchie.

When I was in high school, there was a guy at my church who looked exactly like 1973 Heisman Trophy winner John Cappelletti.

I saw him again three years ago. Now he looks like Eugene Levy.

My brother was at an Astro ballgame 20 years ago and was mistaken for Alan Rickman. He told me he signed 20 autographs. The more he told them he wasn't him, they more the crowd was convinced it was so he just went along with it.

I think I've seen your pic in the SDMB photo gallery. If memory serves, you're a lot more attractive.

ETA: I knew a guy from my stand-up days who could have been Joe Pesci's clone.

My younger brother looks exactly like James Taylor. We got to meet James and his siblings back when they were first starting out.

New guy started work today. I literally did a double-take when I saw him in the lobby. He looks a whole lot like Michael Che.

In the mid-1980s, I briefly dated a woman who looked quite a bit like Kate Jackson of "Charlie's Angels" -- she wasn't quite as tall as Kate, but otherwise, the similarity was striking!

One of my good college buddies used to look a lot like Billy Baldwin in Backdraft at about that time. He doesn't look like him anymore, but at the time, they looked pretty similar.

I myself have been frequently mistaken for George Clooney, though on every occasion it was by a blind person.

A friend of mine looks a lot like Jeremy Renner or at least a slightly older version. We've managed to get free drinks several times whoring "Jeremy" out.

Before I met him, my husband used to be mistaken for Gallagher. His ex-wife looked like Deborah Norville. He told me I looked like Elizabeth Montgomery to him, but I just couldn't see it. We also saw an Amish man that looked exactly like Robin Williams, but of course he didn't know who Robin Williams was.
