Rounding 1st base and headed for 2nd.

Everyone who's been on a date knows about the "bases". Well, I'm a fan of some comic strips that refer to dating activity and am trying to connect them to the "bases".

In Calvin and Hobbes, Hobbes spoke fondly of "Smooches" with Susie. I presume he's talking about 1st base.
In Bloom County, Opus spoke about "Sweaty Snugglebunnies". I presume there are plain "Snugglebunnies" too. Now, obviously Sweaty Snugglebunnies include 3rd base and home plate. So, are Snugglebunnies 2nd base over the shirt, under the shirt but over the bra, or under the bra?

Let me in coach, I'm ready to play today.

Second base is boobies.

Third base is naughty bits.

And if you haven't heard it, Paradise by the Dashboard Light. If you don't want to watch the entire, sweaty, 27:45 video, skip to here.

Rounding third and heading for home, he was a brown-eyed handsome man.

Then there's rounding third but getting called out for leaving the base path.

Some of us barely leave the on-deck circle.

In my day, a blowjob would be considered an inside-the-park home run.

I'm not sure how Opus used it specifically, but a snugglebunny is a person, not an action. It just means someone who is good to snuggle or cuddle with. So "sweaty snugglebunnies" are two people who have been snuggling so vigorously that they have gotten sweaty.

Ha, that reminds me of a short-lived but quite amusing single-camera sitcom called Outsourced (based on the film of the same name, about an American who oversees a call-center in India). I can't find a clip or transcript to render the scene precisely, but it was more-or-less this:

Manmeet [one of the local employees, describing a date he'd had]: And then I held her hand. I think you call it "first base".

Todd [the American]: [dubiously] That's "first base"? What's second base?

Manmeet: Getting married.

Todd: What about third base?

Manmeet: Cricket only has two bases.

Now I want to hear the terms derived from kabaddi and buzkashi.

I'd got that far originally, then realized I'd no idea what episode it was, and the individual descriptions on the show's wiki page didn't cast any light. This time I just opened all 22 scripts and checked for the word "cricket" until I got a hit. The transcripts are not very detailed, not even to specifying which character is speaking, but this is the scene, with my attempt to fill in specifics:

Manmeet: Hey, Todd, the [costume] party was amazing, man. I talked to the naughty nurse all night on the phone. Then we went outside together, just us.

Todd: Yeah, and?

Manmeet: I think we-- what is considered getting to first base in America?

Todd: Kissing.

Manmeet: Oh, then no. I held her hair while she vomited. ... What's the matter, man?

Todd: Well, I went to get Asha a drink, and then Tonya kissed me.

Manmeet: [gasps] Todd's on first! It's only a matter of time before you get to second base and live happily ever after.

Todd: What do you think second base is?

Manmeet: Getting married.

Todd: Then what's third base and home?

Manmeet: I don't know. Cricket only has two bases.

There was another bit I liked, when Todd is trying to explain Black Friday to the Indians and showing them footage of American shoppers mobbing a retail outlet. I can't recall who was in the scene with him, though:

Todd: People were seriously hurt.

Employee: [unimpressed] Oh.

Todd: It started a riot.

Employee: As riots go, this is rather tame. I see no tear gas, no batons, no one set on fire. I could riot circles around these people.

Is there an analogous activity to a balk (stepping off the rubber)?

"I swear, this has never happened to me before."
"Don't worry, sweetie, they have pills you can take for that now."
