Interesting, the left wing version of Breitbart really hates the Pats.
I’d guess 95% of the players aren’t Trump supporters. (I’m probably under exaggerating.) |

So, I’ll base it on the owner, head coach, and star quarterback.

Take the Patriots' fellow 5-Lombardi peers as comparison: the Niners and Cowboys. The Niners have won one Super Bowl by 45 points (SBXXIV) and the Cowboys one by 35 points (SBXXVII). Statistically, one would expect the Patriots to have won one Super Bowl by a hefty margin. The Brady-Belichick streak of eight Super Bowls all decided by one score is an anomaly. |

I’d certainly never stand in the way of another person despising the Patriots. ![]() |

So I’d agree it’s an anomaly, but I’d also suggest that nobody should assume it’s a coincidence or an accident. |

Ughhhhhhhhhhhhhh….. Rams.
Anyone against the Patriots generally gets my vote. Rams ownership sucks for moving to LA and they got in on a missed call against the Saints. Blah blah blah, Rams. |

I am not entirely sure about Brady. I remember they won the Lombardy in 2017 and Brady could not go with the team to the Whitehouse because he had something more important to do that day.

Rams win but Suh gets ejected in first quarter and has no impact on the outcome. Tom Brady throws 20 interceptions and the center gets ejected for deflating the ball at the line of scrimmage. Belichick lies on sideline in fetal position throughout the 4th quarter.

It would've been easy if it had been the Saints against the Patriots.
Now it's sorta like Alabama vs. Clemson, trying to decide between Famine and Pestilence. If the Rams win, then there'll be endless nauseating crap about the Boy Wonder Coach and the Wonderful Young Quarterback. If the Patriots triumph, we'll hear tons of bullshit about the godlike Brady and the marvelous Patriots dynasty. Yeah, I suppose it'd be minimally more tolerable if L.A. won. |

If it doesn't interest you, why post about it? Let people enjoy the things they enjoy.

I will never root for the Patriots because of the way Belichick dumped the Jets to become their head coach. Zero class.

So, we did (sort of) get a meteor hitting the stadium at halftime, at which point the score was nearly as low as it's possible to be. Did that make you guys happy?

For me it was closer than I could realistically expect it to be so yes, I’m happy.

Insofar as I am rooting for anyone, I was rooting for the Patriots, because a win would make my dad happy.

Having now lived in New England for over 25 years (more than half my life), and having been a Patriots fan since 1997 or so, I was rooting for the Patriots, of course.
Ironically, the first Super Bowl I ever paid attention to was a decade earlier in 1986, when I was living in the Chicago area (as a teenaged Army brat in high school). I jumped on the Bears bandwagon, and celebrated their blowout victory over the Patriots in Super Bowl XX. |

The Patriots average margin of victory over their 11 SBs is about -3. That Bears SB was not good for them, nor did the loss to Green Bay help. But, at least they are 6-5 overall.

Seeing as when I was born we LIVED in Foxboro, and I grew up in the town next to it (Walpole), within earshot of the stadium(s), it was Pats all the way for me.
Crappy game, but I liked the end result.
