"What Just Happened with Fred Savage" Funny but doomed.

I stumbled across this show last night on Hulu.

This half-hour hybrid comedy/talk show hosted by Fred Savage is dedicated to exploring the fandom surrounding fictional sci-fi thriller "The Flare." The TV show is based on fictional author TJ Whitford's sci-fi book series "The Moon Is the Sun at Night," which has been a favorite of Savage's since childhood.
The pilot was horrible. Mainly because for the first 10 or 15 minutes, you have no idea what you're watching or what's going on (I did not have the benefit of reading a synopsis before hand) . It pulls itself together in the last 10 minutes and becomes funny.

The following episodes are much easier to follow, and as a result, much funnier.

Anybody else enjoy this show, or did you give up in the first 10 minutes like I almost did? (Or watched the whole thing and still didn't like it. lol)

I saw it as it aired on Fox. Amusing enough for summer Sunday evenings without much else on.
