Tommy , new CBS cop show starring Edie Falco

She plays LA police chief. Thursdays at 10. Reviews are mixed to good.

It will be funny if they have a show where she busts Mafia guys

She already has. She played a prison guard on the series Oz before she appeared in The Sopranos.

Prison guards arrest people?

She sounds like Carmela Soprano but maybe that was her choice or maybe it's her real accent.

I am interested. How is the best way to access CBS. No TV here. Just internet. Currently the only premium service I have is Netflix. Trying to keep entertainment costs to a minimum.

Thanks

Thank you BD. I think I can budget that. I assume it has Picard, also.

I saw the first episode and thought that Falco was the spitting image of Amy Aquino on Bosch. Kept wondering "where's Crate and Barrel?"

There's not been an awful lot of cooking in it so far?

It's not bad as these things go - it's certainly quite fast-paced, which is a blessing these days.

I like Edie Falco a lot, but haven't been hooked by this show yet. It's only fair to give it a little time to develop, I guess, but it's not love at first sight.

CBS allows you to stream the most recent few episodes of each current show for free with ads. There's no need to register or pay, but you will have to turn off any ad blocker. If I recall correctly, CBS makes episodes available to stream something like 24 hours after they air. See the CBS web page for Tommy.

It is her natural accent. I've seen her on stage. I've seen her in an indie movie before Oz, before The Sopranos. She always talks like that (although I think it was a bit exaggerated for The Sopranos).

Wikipedia tells me she grew up in Brooklyn and on Long Island, so it's no surprise.
