Great. Calico Jack is socking up the place and I'll never look at "oui" again without wincing.

Quicksilver, please forgive me for stealing your line.

Femmejean, fuck off.

Yes, indeed.

Time to place your bets my friends. I'm thinking one week pour notre ami FemmeJean. I'll say Jan 20. He's working hard. It may be sooner, but I'll stick with my date. Anyone else?

His/her days are numbered, but I'm loathe to put a timeframe on it. It's definitely a very strange combination of sexual obsessions and complete incoherence -- a whole new kind of weird.

And it continues with "Does prostate stimulation using sex toys actually work?" I choose not to read it (and refuse to link to it) so I can't actually say what brilliance it contains. There's a faint glimmer of hope that after more than hour, no one has taken the bait and replied. But I'm sure someone will start feeding him soon.

Is it against the rules to suggest someone is posting for their own sexual gratification? If so, I definitely don't want to suggest that.

I skimmed it. A bunch of stuff about prostate stimulation and then "does it work or is it urban legend"? I was tempted to post "You can't find any sources out there you trust on this, but you'll take the word of strangers on a message board?" But I think you're right. He's just fishing for people to say "It works for me."

Well, FemmeJean is lasting past all of my projections.

I thought I'd dust off this thread to remind folks to use the omnibus thread rather than feeding the trolls with their own separate Pit threads.

I note an new crop of annoyances:

Jefferson
BlinkyandPinky (who slipped through with 2 Pit threads)
MemoryLeak

Anyone else come out to play while the thread has been dormant?

I really don't get BlinkPink. It's like someone set up a sock to play as a Trump troll but isn't doing a very good job.

That would be a sock account. Not allowed. Very bad. But Trump would only make the best sock accounts. Tremendous socks.

Drunky likes to read threads, and he likes to feel like he's contributing. It fills out the days between shifts picking up plates at his local diner for 22 cents an hour (Goodwill wages).

This is the same genius who wants a cheap health insurance plan that only covers stitches, nothing else. Summary version: if you ever need more than stitches, you may as well die.

The same highly informed logic is applied to climate change. Summary version: nothing to worry about, an ice age is coming. (Needless to say, everything in that post is wrong -- not just a few things, everything.)

Or maybe he believes that climate change can be fixed with stitches. It makes as much sense as anything else he ever posts.

If it was, it would be equally bad. Canada would cease to exist and my state would be under a mile or two of ice.

Canada would not cease to exist, as such, it would just be a very different place. I read recently that research suggests humans did not cross the ice bridge, they actually lived on the Beringia ice shelf for centuries/millennia.

Bolding mine. I probably didn't read this correctly, so - he somehow, then, created a bloody, leaking hole in himself?
And.......how...did he create this bloody, leaking hole in himself in the first place?
I guess I could have read the thread, but my spidey sense says that wouldn't have provided any answer. I'm hoping he was trying to out-Ron Obvious himself by attempting psychic surgery on his stomach.

A deranged, unstable mind wants to know.

(this is reminding me of a splendidly gruesome Joyce Carol Oates short story - title escapes me)

He was probably referring to a putative blood leaking hole, such as one might make whilst using a table saw in conjunction with whisky. But in the white dog's case, it would more likely be the result of becoming so enraged at something he read on the internets that that vein in his temple could not withstand the increase in blood pressure.

Beringia was not an ice bridge or ice shelf, it was dry land and mostly ice free in summer. But essentially all of Canada would have been under thousands of feet of ice and uninhabitable, although western Alaska was ice free like Beringia.

Unfortunately Weisshund is all too typical of a certain kind of newbie poster who doesn't know much about anything but is all too eager to inflict his ignorance on all of us. And they can be very persistent, no matter how many times they are corrected.

The one where buddy tries to do surgery on himself. Maybe written in first person, but only 50% sure of that. Almost ten years ago - IIRC he was trying to access something in his brain through his nasal passages while reading form some medical manual.

I honestly don't understand why anyone would waste their time posting in a thread by Jefferson or BlinkyPinkyDumbass. You know they're trolls. You know they don't give a fuck about logic, facts or reality. They just want attention.

As I explained in the locked thread, trolling is an instaban offense and doesn't require prior warnings. However, since Blinkyandpinky's trolling was mostly in the Pit, where some degree of trolling is tolerated, it required discussion before taking action.

He's Just Asking Questions. Honest, non-antagonistic questions. By the time he's reached the end of the paragraph, though, he's forgotten all about that and has conveniently provided the answers, which turn out to be of a Trumpist variety. Turns out, the real reason Trump won is that he's so terrific, while liberals are all terrorist-loving jerks supported by liberal media. Brand-new joins frequently offer this sort of in-depth analysis.

Meh, my excuse is that there's a difference between a really blatant troll and a simple fucking idiot. Based on very limited evidence, I'm willing (for now) to grant the newcomer the benefit of being considered just a slack-jawed simpleton of the kind who defend Trumpsterism by pontificating on the socialism of Obamacare and the deadly threat of Mooslims and furriners while a thin stream of drool dribbles down their chin.

Whatever rocks your boat. It's just that your post immediately above mine sure seemed like you were calling him a troll. If I misread it, then my bad.
