Coin a Covid-19 term

Whatever happens in the future I think it’s fair to assume this thing is going to leave a lasting impression on our culture. So here you can be a pioneer of pestilence, a soothsayer of sickness. Leave your linguistic mark on our soon-to-be-sick mother tongue.

Covid Kid - the ‘latchkey’ of this generation, used to describe any manner of social awkwardness or poor education in the future from neglect or prescribed social distancing now.

TP Shopping - going into the few remaining open stores only to use the bathroom and perhaps swipe some TP.

Covidiot - the new antivaxer/conspiracy theorist who decides it’s all nonsense and gathers in crowds.

Codependants - people who ran out of toilet paper, and leaned on the generosity of their neighbors.

When you hear the term "the coronavirus," do you imagine Wilford Brimley saying, "the diabeetus"?

I've heard "The Before Time" quite often to describe time just before this hit. Sounds a little too scary. I'd suggest:

BCV (Before Corona Virus)

E.g., "Two months BCV my cousin was going to take her kid and two grandkids to Hawaii starting today. Finally got talked out of it just the other day."

Apparently, some folks dare other folks to lick door knobs and toilet seats. I would say this term is meant for them.

I’ll add “Pangolin Fever” to the list of disease names.

“Space invader” - someone who invades your 6’/2m social distancing sphere and won’t back off when you try to move away from them, even when they have plenty of rom to stay the fuck away. Example: boomers in supermarket lines, even when there’s social distancing spacers on the floor.

“Karen Covid” - a woman who thinks essential oils, teas, oddball diets, meditation, and/or prayer will either prevent or cure COVID-19.

What would be a good phrase for TV commercials for things you can’t buy, or places you can’t go anymore? For example, you’re watching a CNN story about shelter in place and empty airports, and there’s a block of commercials for Sandals resorts, “What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas”, Emirates Air, and using MasterCard rewards points for concerts.

Covidenial--the idiot children on Spring Break, drinking, drugging, dancing, swapping germs, saying, "It's MY life, and you can't tell me what to do!"

Obviously, those kids are not all independently wealthy. Why hasn't Mommy or Daddy cancelled the credit cards and phone contract, with the message, "Come home now, idiot. You'll be sleeping in the garage for the next fourteen days."

Perhaps the word I mean is Covidelusional.

This term also includes the statement, "I'm a smart man, and I have a good feeling about this drug."

Coroneo and Juliet - lovestruck teens who have to break quarantine because their love for each other is Just Too Pure.

(If there isn't a movie made with the above title, I will be shocked.)

I posted this in the New Words and Phrases thread in Cafe Society a couple of days ago:

Quote:
A new noun: Penitentiary Walk

Definition: In a public space such as a park or a well-used trail, a walk in which each group maintains a safe and polite distance (typically at least 10 meters) between itself and the group ahead.

Example of use: Social distancing was giving us cabin fever - we had to get out of he house, so we went for a penitentiary walk beside the canal.

Also the corresponding verb, to penitentiary walk - to walk as described above.

I didn't coin this but I heard on an NPR show this weekend that "Social Distancing" is too negative and we should instead be "Socializing from a Distance".
