it's called Family Values, something you may have heard of. Elian's surviving parent wanted him back home. The family of "a Honduran kid" going alone typically wants him to go have a better life.

BTW, since you're all wondering, yes, "Miami Relatives" is a band name.

There is, but it beggars belief that you need me to explain it to you. Take a minute and think about it; reread my previous response. If you're still unable to figure it out, tell me, and I'll take you at face value and explain it.

I hope this becomes an annual event, at least through 2020/4.
If you're not screaming on the inside (at the very least), you're not paying attention.

Laughter gonna be the only medicine poor folks can afford. Outside of mud and leeches, of course, but the mud will be toxic and the leeches will refuse anyone not a Republican Congressman. Professional courtesy, you understand...

A bunch of sore losers from the last election are still so sore about it a year later that they wanted to get together and scream futilely at the sky.

Meh. Makes more sense than a sore winner having to bring up his opponent every few hours.

"Sore losers" is a term from children's games. If you believe politics is a child's game, that might explain your post.

It probably wouldn't be a thing if the incompetent orange buffoon didn't provide daily justification to make reasonable people want to scream from a deep sense of WTF.

Pretty sure the country is at the point where if he were to (mercifully) drop dead, a national collective sigh of relief would be more audible than the occasional screams of frustration.

Are there any other consequences to the nation and its people that have attracted your notice?

Effects from the election? Yes, lots of them. Too many to list.

There are a whole lot of things more important / significant than this. Some of them I consider good, and others bad.

I weigh those screaming at the sky in frustration with the Trump administration against those screaming "FAKE NEWS" in their fanatical alternative fact based devotion of the Trump administration.

I don't know what to tell you, but the former doesn't seem nearly as crazy as the latter.

There were a couple of posters who didn't think Trump would be that bad.
Care to weigh in?

Maybe check out a current thread if you want them to weigh in. Bumping this thread was a jackass move.

Why was it a "jackass move" in bumping a 2016 election schadenfreude thread when I'm feeling schadenfreude'y about the outcome of the 2016 election?

Because you aren't feeling schadenfreude about the outcome of the 2016 election. Three years later, you are happy that Trump has proved a disaster so you are trying to redeem this ill conceived thread.

I can kindof see where you are coming from, but I'm not trying to redeem this thread. Guess I should've posted elsewhere, but I searched for the term and found one that was specifically about "schadenfreude" related to Trump and posted. If that makes me a jackass, so be it. Mea culpa.

Lol, why couldn't you just start a new Shadenfreud thread? No law against that. Anyway, whatever. I'll just quietly wait for my warnings for jr modding or personal insults or whatever.

Ha! I was caught up in the full-on schadenfreude rapture that's gripping the nation.
