Thanks, Arnold.

I have to add again that you folks do not look like I expected you to, even the ones I've met. Well, except for cmyk. I'm not sure why, but he looks like I expected him to.

Well, we won't know your real name - so you'll just be anonymous with a face . . .

Thank you Sir T-Cups. I honestly think there is very little (I almost want to say zero) risk in having a picture posted in conjunction with your SDMB name.

The only solution is to wear a bag over your head everywhere in public.

Don't worry, it's totally normal. Everyone does it. Really.

I just have "one of those faces". (ohh, good user name)

OR

I've posted my pic a lot in other picture threads, plus my avatar is of me. Perhaps you've been just so impressed by my wit, intellect, good looks and posting style, you subconsciously made the connection.

With all this talk about beards, what surprised me is that we had no photos of anyone smoking. Well, finally that has been changed! We have a pipe! And dogs, carriages, people in costume, musicians, artwork, and all kinds of other neat stuff that you can see here!

Added new photos to the gallery: An Arky, Another Primate, Avarie537, beowulff, BMalion, brujaja, DiggitCamara, divemaster, Enderw24, EvilTOJ, Green Rosetta, Hoopy Frood, KneadToKnow, melodyharmonius, MsWhatsit, Panurge, phouka, picker, romansperson, Ruby, Sampiro, tdn, THespos
Changes: Argent Towers—retouched main photo, Sunspace—added another photo

We have barely scratched the surface of the list of SDMB posters though, and some of you have already offered to look for photos, but I'm still waiting on you!
Everyone, please send in at least one picture.
I promised to send a newer one, but I haven't gotten around to it yet. Still, at least I sent in one!

Am I the only one who thinks Asimovian looks like a young James Earl Jones? BigBertha looks less like I expected than anyone, ever.

Elendil's Heir, gardentraveler, monstro, Taters, Sunspace, THespos: I just wanted to say that I saw your Thank You posts.

I don't always answer e-mails or PMs during the day, but I try to answer everyone that has sent a picture, and if you send it via e-mail, you will get an e-mail back when the photo is posted. If you don't see an e-mail from me in your inbox, check your spam folder. If you send me the photo via PM, you should check this thread to find out when your photo has been posted.
Often I have a couple of questions when photos are sent, so please look at your e-mails and/or PMs the next day (or two days) after you have sent in your photo.

Thanks to all of you who have contributed lately! I will be adding to the site tonight or tomorrow morning.

Would that I had his voice, his talent, or -- in lieu of the first two -- his money, I'd really be in business.

And considering I've had many, MANY strangers stop me and tell me I look like Randy Jackson of Journey/American Idol, that comment was rather refreshing.

Darn it! One poster that had sent me photos didn't make it because I made a mistake. Don't worry, your photos will be added soon!
And if someone has sent me photos before I posted my update, and you're not here, drop me a line to yell at me.
You're welcome Brynda.

Ha! I feel the same way (about humanizing the opposition). But just think: Whenever tempers get flared, you can go to the gallery, look at your enemy's picture, and realize they aren't electrons on a computer screen but that they are real people, with everything good that goes along with real people.

Thanks for the compliment, btw.

So, I never realized we had so many relatives of celebrities here.

Basically, JFLuvly is Mickey Rourke's younger brother, and Unintentionally Blank is Tim Robbins' older brother.

That's funny. I wear Spandex pants under my goalie gear instead of hockey socks when I play hockey. These are old Nike pants and have three inch wide lime green spandex stripes going down the leg. Ever since the movie The Wrestler came out,at least one of the boys in the dressing room has to get a Mickey Rourke/Wrestler comment in. It's always good for a laugh at my expense, so I just don't let them get any goals...lol

Did you look at all the pictures? Though you still won't find any diffraction effects even if you do. OTOH the one of me with my hat on is of such poor quality I might as well be spectral.

Heh. As a kid, everyone told my mom that I looked just like the boy from Oliver!: http://static.guim.co.uk/sys-images/.../Oliver460.jpg

When Twin Peaks was on, I was compared to Kyle MacLachlan: http://ia.media-imdb.com/images/M/MV...404_SY400_.jpg

But nowadays, with a beard and more gray hair, I just look like... me.

Pyper, ctywkr sent in the Dopefest photos right around the same time as your post! One of these days I will be improving the "Dopefest" section of the site.
But thank you for sending in your own.

I am going to be adding more photos tonight, probably the last update I'll make until after Christmas. So if you want to have your photo appear before Christmas, send it in today!

And one of y'all sent me a photo via e-mail but didn't tell me your SDMB username. Sometimes I can figure out who you are, sometimes not. In this case I don't know who it is.

So everyone, after you send me a photo via PM or e-mail, please check your PM and e-mails (including your e-mail spam folder) to see if I had any questions before I could put the picture up!
Thank you.
