WOOT! WOOT! It's my FOURTH wedding anniversary today! My wonderful spouse ChuckTheMonster surprised me with hidden chocolates: on my computer keyboard; in my bathrobe pocket; on my reading stand next to "my chair"; underneath the romantic card on the breakfast table; and hidden in the folds of the newspaper! Actually, one item was NOT chocolate / it was (chocolate-covered) toffe sprinkled with sea salt

Annnnnnnnnnnnnnd ... breakfast itself was buckwheat blueberry pancakes with bourbon barrel Vermont maple syrup ... mmm Mmm MMM yum Yum YUM

Yes, we're going out to dinner tonight, too!

Happy Birthday to me! Had fun at the company picnic, followed by a nice cookout at my sister-in-law's place, and ending with some Glenmorangie followed by Fishtale Ale's Smaug Stout.

I posted this in The Great Ongoing General Aviation Thread, but what the heck. I'll post it here.

I had my Biennial Flight Review this evening. Got signed off, and I'm current. I'm officially a Threat From Above.

Closing on my old condo was Wednesday. Mrs. ToKnow and I are now down to one mortgage, one power bill, and no HOA dues. It feels awesome!

I hear ya!

We are ALL DOUBLED UP w/condo dues, double electric, double water, double sewer + 4XXXX PROPANE HEAT. Our great big "new" 1891-crate-of-a-house EATS propane. As does the tiny condo "with wonderful water views" in midcoast Maine. I can't wait to be in YOUR situation ...

Hearty congratulations & have Well-Seasoned Holidays

They just reopened here last year, after about a 40 year absence.

Also...Happy Birthday, Sweetie!

You got my hopes up...

I have fond memories of Farrell's as a kid gowing up in Michigan, but they are all but gone now. I had heard that they were down to one restaurant, but it seems that they have added a few California locations. Darn.

I liked the Green River soda, and ate a Pig's Trough once.

My 12th grandchild was born yesterday. Emily Jolene, 9lbs, 2oz. Love the name Emily, really dislike the name Jolene, which sounds like someone from the Ozarks. But everyone is healthy and happy.

My baby boy turns 20 tomorrow, 1-30-2015. He's brought so much fun into our lives and made me look at the world in completely new ways. He can be a pain, but it's generally in exactly the same way I am a pain, so it's hard to hold it against him.

Library1900 and I celebrated our 2nd anniversary on St. Patrick's Day. He spent the previous weekend in the hospital because his internal defibrillator went off. (His heart rate had jumped to 206 bpm.)

Also, I passed my colonoscopy with flying colors and my anemia is getting much better thanks to the iron pills. March is already a million times better than February, when I went to the doctor 8 times for various health problems.

House

11 years ago today my wife and I moved into the house that we currently live in. For me, at least, I believe this is the longest I've ever lived anywhere.

14 years!

Today (24 May 2015) is my 14th wedding anniversary. And yes - it's a happy one! (Unfortunately my wife isn't a Doper. If she ever chose to be one, though, I think she'd make a GREAT one!)

It's my 25th wedding anniversary!

On this day in 1990, on a very hot summer day in Vermont, my true love and I were married in her hometown's little Episcopal church, surrounded by family and friends. We'd met five years earlier on a college semester abroad in London, and almost immediately felt the attraction. And now a quarter century has passed - hard to believe! My wife and I have had our ups and downs, of course, but we are and have been so very blessed - we have our good health, three fine sons, a dopey dog, an ornery cat, a nice house and so many other good things in our lives.
