Pitting Urbanredneck for making shit up and claiming it's facts

In the When is a Covid-19 death NOT a Covid-19 death? thread, Urbanredneck says this about a Connecticut case:
Quote:
Right now if a person dies of something but they test their blood and find their are positive, I think they might list the cause as the virus even though it wasnt the cause.

For example THIS case in Connecticut an infant died from another cause, maybe trauma or abuse, but is officially listed as Covid 19 due to the baby having it.
If you click through to the link, it says:
Quote:
The unidentified child from Hartford was unresponsive when taken to the hospital recently and could not be revived. The infant tested positive during a postmortem exam for the virus that causes COVID-19, said Josh Geballe, the governor's chief operating officer.

Dr. James Gill, the state's chief medical examiner, said the infant had no other known medical conditions. An autopsy has been done but more tests are needed before a cause of death can be determined, he said.
As HMS Irruncible neatly summed up a couple posts downthread:
Quote:
No, the article does not say the infant died from another cause.

No, the article does not mention trauma or abuse.

No, the article does not say what the cause of death was officially listed as.

<snip>

In summary, you just invented 3 things that bear no resemblance whatsoever to the article.
Can't improve on that.

It just seems I've been in a number of threads with our redneck friend lately where I think, "that's a huge stretch" but I just let it skate, because I've got enough other things on my mind, and maybe there's a doubt he deserves the benefit of.

But in this case, to quote Tevye, there is no 'other hand.' This is just making shit up to suit one's position, world view, or whatever, and using that made-up shit to support one's argument. So Urbanredneck, welcome to your Pitting.

I fully support this pitting. I'm so fucking sick and tired of him posting bullshit and never coming back when he gets called on it. He just shits and runs.

I usually don't join in these sort of threads, but I'm done with this sort of fucking playing with the truth.

Fuck you Urbanredneck. You should fucking be ashamed of yourself.

As far as I'm concerned the guy is THE embodiment of Trump's America. He's the embodiment of every mindless meme, every "I BET YOU WON'T COPY AND PASTE THIS" faux patriotic blathering, posted by everyone's uneducated creep family member that they moved across the country to get away from.

I don't think he made it up himself. I saw another trolly right wing poster on another board post something similar. I think he's parroting a right wing talking point from somewhere.

So it's not him who is brilliant. Just someone he's watched on TV or read on Twitter.

Well he did once tell a story so unbelievable and yet so hilarious that is still makes me laugh:

It worked well that he easily could just walk in and out doing his business and the wasps would peacefully go about theirs. While if another person tried this, the wasps went after them. Well once he walked in and one particular wasp was being aggressive towards him. He left and when he came back, that wasp was dead and the others were acting peaceful. It seems they "took care of one of their own".

So while you might think a particular wasp might not be so smart, hive insects can form a central "brain" and have higher level thinking. This is why often beekeepers can work around their own hives and not get stung while the bees will attack newcomers.

He does enjoy rolling around in his own pig-ignorant filth. He hears the laughter at his expense but thinks it's a small price to pay for grossing out the libs.

Isn’t he an anti-vaxxer as well? I could be mixing him up with other knuckleheads, but it seems to be right up his alley.

Yes, he was busy promoting that VAXXED movie, claiming he was just asking questions. After everyone tore apart his arguments and bullshit, he wrote that as long as people were talking about the movie "he won."

Here he is trying to recruit posters by posing a seemingly innocuous question about the connections that India has with China - but given his posting history I don't believe in honest intentions. (post #11)

Resurrecting because the dumbass is on a roll again. Providing cites he doesn't waste time reading or understanding, and hopes nobody else will.

One day his epitaph will read: Urbanredneck - Often wrong, but never in doubt.

That dude has posted so much bullshit in COVID threads that I lost count. And it’s always “things I’ve heard” or “things people are saying”. I don’t think he posted an actual cite for any of the stupid things he’s claimed.

I think I’d like his niece, though. I bet she’s gonna grow up to be a liberal.

There's no warning in that thread, just a mod note to avoid calling people racist outside of the Pit.

The moderator actually said this:

My interpretation of this note, which does not mention the Pit, is that the discussion had been about a legitimate topic, i.e. whether there is any protective benefit against Covid 19 to living in a 3rd world environment. To discuss such a topic requires discussing such countries, and while that could have been intended as some kind of dog whistle to racist feelings, it was not apparent up to that point.

Granted, the subject of this thread has probably poisoned his own well with a lot of ill-intentioned posts, but that does not automatically make every post of his ill-intentioned. One is right to be suspicious, but some facts ought to be in evidence in that thread to back up such a charge before it is made.

Isn't he just doing what Trump, and almost every Republican these days, do?

We're grateful to zoos that we can see giraffes or the courting rituals of monkeys without taking a trip to Africa. Shouldn't we be grateful to Mr. Redneck and his ilk for doing their BMs here so that we can see how Republicans defecate without taking a trip to Crazytown or Flyoverland?

Jeez, I'd forgotten all about this thread.

I'd like to think we hold people to a slightly higher standard than the MSM holds Trumpublicans to.

Well, we still have to go to the zoos, which may or may not be open. It's not like the elephants are in your backyard. (The real ones, not the people whose party uses them as a symbol. The latter are in my backyard - this county went something like 58% for Trump.) So yeah, click over to Redstate or somewhere if you want to see the nutcase bullshit coming from the right.
