Well from what I recall, the word was that Cohen had a compulsive habit of recording his conversations with Trump, so this is probably one of many that will surface.

Yes, but how could Trump and his administration not acknowledge everything else he's blatantly lied about so far?

Gaslighting and claiming that the recordings are bogus are his only way out. Giuliani just admitted that the tapes are real.

He probably did it so he could use it as blackmail in case Trump tried to stiff him. Cohen probably saw what Trump used to do to his contractors and used his recordings as his insurance policy.

Good point. And with any luck, Cohen will sing like a canary.

Doesn't Donald also record people? I can't wait until those tapes come out.

I guess, come to think on it, I would be more surprised if Cohen hadn't taken such precautions. It would mean someone who knows the kind of shit Il Douche is capable of finds him to be trustworthy and loyal.

Cohen's attorney, Lanny Davis, appeared on Chris Cuomo's CNN show this evening, and played the recording of the call between Cohen and Trump, in which they discussed the payment to Karen McDougal.

I'll admit that I am not expert on the attractiveness of men, but I can't help but wonder what on earth these women see in him. If I was a female, I would find him gross and would be unable to suppress my gag reflex long enough to service him. Is being rich (or at least appearing to be rich) enough to make women able to do things with such an unattractive, unintelligent, inarticulate, boorish piece of crap?

they say money is a great aphrodisiac He's not the only old, ugly, fat guy with a younger sexy wife or girlfriend. Harvey Weinstein was another example, he is 66 and his ex wife is 42 .

I saw a local billionaire with a young girl who I thought was his daughter , but it was his 2nd wife. He did have to pay out a billion or so to his first wife in the divorce.

another local billionaire avoided divorce by building a 5 stay hotel for his wife to "run" . They have a management team that actually runs the hotel but the wife and her daughter don't do much besides pick out interior design stuff like drapes , carpets, etc.

this is the place https://www.theumstead.com/

And...apparently the arrest of Stormy Daniels was a set-up....

I'm super surprised. Is anyone else super surprised?

Michael Cohen agrees to terminate the 2016 hush agreement with Stormy Daniels. Cohen is requesting that Daniels repay the $130K.

Michael Avenatti, apparently surprised by the move, said his "first guess" was that Cohen was trying to avoid having to be deposed, or Trump having to be deposed. However, since Cohen seems to have flipped on Trump, it seems unlikely to me that this maneuver is intended to keep Trump out of a deposition.

If the Daniels lawsuit was originally intended to get Daniels released from the hush agreement, and Cohen is now agreeing to release her, doesn't that kind of take the wind out of the lawsuit? Did Avenatti just "win" a fight that he wanted to drag out for a while longer? If the lawsuit is over, no one is putting a camera in front of Avenatti anymore. And I say this as an admirer of Avenatti.

Here's the tweet about the news from a CNN reporter: https://twitter.com/mj_lee/status/10...852309504?s=19

Seems to me if they tear up the agreement, then the $130,000 was simply a gift for being such a good citizen.

If Cohen has flipped on Trump is he still a proper representative for him on this matter? Should it be clear that the offer to terminate comes from Trump himself? Or at least that he agrees to it?"

Hard to say. I mean, Trump never did bother to sign the agreement, so does he really have any say?

MSNBC reporting that current and former Justice Department officials say that if Trump were not President, he would be under indictment on charges similar to those for which Michael Cohen has pled guilty.

Sorry, no cite; heard on the Rachel Maddow show a few minutes ago.

Maybe this one will finally stick in the public mind, maybe not.
