Kiko Alonso has solidified himself as one of my most hated NFL players and as a walking, spearing piece of human feces.

I defended the Flacco hit as the slide was ridiculously late, but he had ample warning and chance to avoid this one. Fuck 'im.

Does the interceptor get the yards in his stats?
From the official stats I see, Keenum was not charged with an Int and Hayward is not showing a pick in his stats. This is also the case when I look at the stats for the NO @ Carolina game a couple weeks ago when it happened.

Thanks. I wonder if he gets the points.

I think he has to be. Barkley is in the conversation but the edge has to go to Mayfield.

He missed a game winning field in the Miami game. Granted it was a 53 yarder.

Much as many of you despise the Ratbirds, any time it goes all quiet in Titletown is a good time. Especially satisfying when they are stuck watching the last game in the faint hope of a miracle.

Green Bay was long since out of the playoffs.

I have not seen a whole lot of football lately, so I have been wondering, does anyone do the draw play anymore? Well executed, it can be glorious to behold, but are defenses just too quick for it these days?

I think that's undoubtedly part of it. Any slow-to-develop offensive play is really hard to pull off today.

Sure. There are plenty of draw running plays these days still.

Agreed. Although it's now sometimes called a 'delayed handoff'.

The title of this thread is 'NFL 2018 Regular Season'. Will there be another thread to discuss the playoffs? If the early lines are any indication, there should be some good games this weekend.

Slight thread resurrection to address this question, as 538 has an article today on the demise of the draw. They note that a few teams (such as the Chiefs and Chargers) have used it with good effect, but many teams use it rarely, if at all, and, on average, the draw gets run by a team once every other game.

Looking possible there'll be more Cowboys fans than Rams fans at the LA game tomorrow night.
