If Twitter doesn't jump the shark in the next 4 years, this is bound to be one mammoth thread full of the stupidest shit ever uttered by a President of the United States. I guess, as Americans, we've got that going for us.

Consider that imprisoning women merely for having a miscarriage has been an increasingly popular practice anywhere they can push it, with the Republicans in charge you can expect it to became the norm to imprison or execute women for getting abortions. Despite your fantasies about Trump.

I'd love a couple of half doors. All the better to keep my dogs inside while letting in some of the fabulous weather we've been having. Maybe they'll bring cocoa, too.

So now Trump's tweeting he's still going to stay involved with The Apprentice in his spare time. Because we all know American presidents have a lot of spare time on their hands.

That was yesterday. Today he's saying that he never said that, despite the fact that Conway said exactly that.

"Reports by @CNN that I will be working on The Apprentice during my Presidency, even part time, are ridiculous & untrue - FAKE NEWS!"

In case you weren't aware, Presidents don't really go on vacation. They just change where they work from.

Playing golf on occasion is not the same as regularly taking time away from his day job.

I find it hilarious when people complain that Obama plays golf, as if Trump doesn't actually own a bunch of golf courses. Sure, Trump won't golf at all after he's inaugurated.

Trump had a banner 24 hours on Thursday:

1. He butted in on the UN vote on Israeli settlements.

2. He all but promised a nuclear-arms race with Russia.

3. His remarks on dropping a Lockheed Martin contract caused the stock to plunge 2% and sparked job-layoff fears.

Well, this whole F-35 debacle could be turned around, suck up some of that "beef up our military" gravy. Some news shots of an F-35 blowing up a mosque, say. In a foreign country, just so there's no misunderstanding here.

Trump did not use the anger of his opponents to win. He used the anger of his supporters. He used the complacency of his opponents--that we thought there would not be enough dumb or evil people to win, and we thought that didn't need a charismatic opponent against what we see as his negative charisma.

At this point, we can't vote again for a while. So the point right now is just to point out how what we said about him is right. How this is exactly the bullshit we expected him to do.

And, because, well, we may all die and be powerless to stop it. At least being able to get angry about it makes us feel better.

Or just maybe, he is doing this sort of thing (Lockheed and Boeing) as a way to manipulate stock prices for himself, his kids, or his cronies???

It's entirely possible.

Nope, all better.

Quote:
President-elect Donald Trump said he had a "nice conversation" with President Barack Obama Wednesday following a string of tweets in which he went so far as to suggest that the sitting president was disrupting the smooth transition of power.

"He phoned me, we had a very nice conversation," Trump told reporters today outside his Mar-a-Lago club in Florida. "We had a general conversation."

Later this evening, Trump stepped out again, this time with Don King by his side, and emphasized that he had a "good talk" with Obama. "I actually thought we covered a lot of good territory," he said....

(PS: Don King? The guy who did time for kicking a man to death, that fucking guy? What, are they having a weird hair contest?)

"Doing my best to disregard the many inflammatory President O statements and roadblocks," Trump tweeted Wednesday morning. "Thought it was going to be a smooth transition - NOT!"

Later, however, journalists at Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida asked him about the tweet and how he thought the transition was going.

He said: "I think very, very smoothly. It's very good. You don't think so?"
