Throbbing Gristle's Genesis P-Orridge has died of leukemia at 70. He was pretty much the father of Industrial music.

In the article it is noted how he was known for the realism in his sculptures like Double check, I looked at the current location and different views of that sculpture and it is interesting to note that the Google algorithm or human that blurs the faces of the people in the Google street images also saw the sculpture as a person so his face is blurred too.

Beatrice, aka Stella on Modern Family has gone on to get skritches eternally.

I know they're not Death Pool eligible but how many famous canines are there?

Looking at that footage, seeing the spacing and the long 3's, and I'm realizing the Globetrotters were just 40 years ahead of the game.

RIP, Curly.

I remember seeing a TV show about the Globetrotters that showed a practice, where he hit one of those amazing long-distance threes from half-court. While sitting down.

Another COVID-19 casualty.

Alan Merrill had a long and interesting career in music but will probably be known for writing and first performing “I Love Rock and Roll.”

Folks, I always check each name presented here. But if I could ask a favor, if you present a name that you yourself get points for, could you put it in the post? Thanks!
