Is the arena near the Metro? Lower Bowl tickets on Stubhub are expensive, as Iíd expect from a Stanley Cup defending team, but there are reasonable prices in the 200 levels and up. I assume I should avoid the 400 level?
The arena is at a metro stop.

My tickets are in the 400 level. I like it better than the lower level - better view of the whole ice versus great view of the section in front of you. 200 level is the best in my opinion.

Sounds perfect. I’ve sat up at the top for the Florida Panthers and it seemed like people were just there to get drunk and ignoring the play on the ice. It seems pointless to spend the money for a hockey game and then ignore Pavel Bure on the ice.

Is there anything special about the arena to warrant getting there early? Memorabilia or a Ring of Honor?

Not much. There are a few displays on the main floor - hats collected from hat tricks. They renovated this summer so i’m Not sure.

The American Art Museum is across the street. It is one of the few Smithsonian museums open until 7 pm. I frequently kill time there once i’ve parked.

Which games are you considering?

Just realized you have the dates listed.

The American Art Museum sounds perfect. I’m considering the Sunday, December 2 game with a face off at 3 pm. Perhaps a lunch or brunch someplace nearby, a quick trip to the museum, and then catch the game at 3.

Canada makes pot legal nationwide on Wed. the 17th. But NHL is the only major sport that does not punish for a positive pot test.

Caps arena is in Chinatown so if you like Chinese food there are many options.

Does the NBA even test for it? And, thanks, Chinese food sounds perfect

Well, there are 7 Canadian teams. Winnipeg didn't play on Saturday.

Yeah, With the surprise Preseason success I had some hope they might have some chance, but they are a disaster, and getting worse game by game at this point.

It's in what little remains of DC's Chinatown, and while there are a few remaining good Chinese restaurants there, you will have no trouble finding nearly anything else you might be hungry for, from McDonald's to Legal Sea Foods to tapas to ramen and sushi to upscale fusion like Zaytinya.

NBA punishes players for pot smoking , 1st offense is mandatory rehab and the penalties go up for 2nd, 3rd, etc. offenses
