As of today, we've got seven teams renewed for this year. We are missing:

Exploding Pancakes (SenorBeef)
Disgruntled Goats (motu)
Nine Inch Neils (Really Not All That Bright)
Moridwon (Hamlet)
Big Mack Attack (enalzi)
Chicago Cardinals (dalej42)
The Goal-den Girls (Sir T-Cups' wife)

Hopefully this will get all or most of them to renew!

Draft order will be:

1 - Fourth & Nineteen (Wilson)
2 - The Quack Attack (Sir T-Cups)
3 - The Goal-den Girls (Sir T-Cups' wife)
4 - Omnipotents (Omniscient)
5 - Nine Inch Neils (Really Not All That Bright)
6 - Carcossa Yellow Kings (Munch)
7 - Exploding Pancakes (SenorBeef)
8 - Moridwon (Hamlet)
9 - Disgruntled Goats (motu)
10 - Baltimore Weirdos (weirddave)
11 - Spiritus Mundane (Spiritus Mundi)
12 - Hermits (The Mad Hermit)
13 - Big Mack Attack (enalzi)
14 - Chicago Cardinals (dalej42)

That's consolation bracket winner first (me), followed by reverse standings order from last year, which I believe is right.

I'll work on compiling eligible keepers in the next few days, as well as hunting down the missing owners.

Draft date should read 9/3/19 @ 8:30pm EDT (Tuesday) - forgot to change the year from 2018 when I copied from last year's thread.

If it makes anything easier, I'll be keeping Aaron Jones (drafted in the 12th, so use a 10th) and Derrius Guice (drafted in the 11th, so using a 9th). I would love to keep Davante Adams, but I drafted him in 2016, kept him in 2017 and 2018, so I think I lose him to the max 2 years keeper rule (will someone be checking those?).

I think we've got everyone back now!
I still haven't gotten to compile the complete list of eligible keepers - I will get to that tomorrow night.

I'm keeping Chris Godwin in the 10th round and Courtland Sutton in the 12th. May also keep Doug Martin in R13 depending on whether he lands somewhere before the keeper deadline.

Thanks for taking over this year at commish, Wilson. I ended up having to pick up the dynasty league when Varlos disappeared and I've been less invested in FF lately and in general didn't want to run as many leagues as I was.

If anyone happens to be interested, we have a few spots open in the big league. It drafts next week, Wednesday the 4th at 8pm eastern. You have to attend the draft - because we have 20 players and yahoo's automatic values are meant for 12 players, the auto-drafter simply can't build a viable team.

But it's a fun league - with how much bigger it is than normal you have more strategies/difficult decisions you can use in the (auction) draft. And talent is spread much thinner, so you're more rewarded for finding breakout players and sneaky good values.

If you can make the draft and you're interested in trying it this year, send me a PM or post over in that thread.

I feel like I've won this league on keepers the last few years although it hasn't turned into any wins. I think I have the best set of 3, with only Spiritus and Dale (Chicago Cardinals) coming close.

This is a slight hijack, but it seems a good place to put it. Are we not doing an NFL pick'em this year?

motu, you do remember that there is a two-round penalty to keep a player? That means you'd use your first round pick for Freeman, 3rd for Ingram and 4th for Thielen?

Freeman and Ingram seem a little high for those rounds... just checking...

Everyone else, check to make sure you've factored in that two round penalty. The round listed in the eligible keeper list is where they were drafted last year - not what they will cost to keep this year.

I took the two round penalty into account, Anderson is either gonna be a stud or a dud, Iím thinking stud. And Chubb and Edelman were no brainiers

Found Weirddave's declaration on the league board - Calvin Ridley in the 9th is his only keeper.

I put in Ingram and Thielen for motu in the 3rd and 4th - I can't possibly imagine he'd want to keep Royce Freeman in the 1st....

No one cared or was impressed that I drafted 0 RBs. Come on, that's gotta be super unlikely.

You didn't draft 0 RB's. You drafted 1 stud RB and 2 solid starters with 3 cheap keeper picks, then chose not to add any more depth. It's an interesting strategy for the position that is most vulnerable to injury loss, but it is hardly a "0 RB" strategy.

You have a rock solid starting core, obviously, but I do wonder how you started with one position locked up and still ended up without a stud TE and nothing but future potential behind your top 2 WR. Maybe you know something about Kirk that I don't - almost certain, actually as the Cardinals are so far off my radar this year that I want to build a wall to keep them out of my fantasy rosters - but 4 rookies and a second year PR/slot receiver is a big bet that your house money stays strong all year.

Well, obviously my roster isn't RB-free. But I didn't actually draft any during the draft, and I'm pretty sure that's never happened before in the history of the league. It's pretty unlikely.

You're not wrong about my depth being weak, but that's just how the draft shook out. Engram almost fell to me, going 2 picks before mine, which would've given me that stud TE. But otherwise I chose to go stud QB over stud TE (and the scoring in this league favors that). Otherwise there just wasn't that much starting quality value past the 4th round in our draft. Were there super obvious studs I missed out on?

Somehow I drafted a RB that is holding out, and a WR and TE both suspended for the first four games (and my other TE has a bye week during Herndon's suspension). Talk about high risk....

No - the way the draft fell out your best option was Ertz/Kittle in round 2 after Kelcie went ahead of you. I've been known to overvalue a TE in my day, but that is still pretty rich. Or your choice of Howard/Henry/Engram in round 3. I probably would have gone WR in round 2 like you did (though I would have gone Brown or Cooks over Cooper - but I still have Cooper scars from last year) then let QB slide until round 5.

Oddly enough, your keeper in round 4, valuable though it was, fell at a time when several positions hit tier drop offs. But would Howard/Wilson really be that much stronger than McDonald/Rogers? Hard to say. But this if Fantasy Football, damnit. There are rituals to be followed!

You somehow managed to screw up the most advantageous set of keepers this side of the Vatican and drafted a team thinner than a retired Gronkowsli! You are doomed to futility once Kamara pulls a hammy and teh Cowboys lose one game and convene the circular firing squad. Doom is coming for you, and the four rookies of the Apocalypse ride in his wake!

But you'll still probably beat me in week 1.

Well, I missed the draft. Son of a bitch, always happens at least once a season. I need a fucking secretary.

I don’t hate my team. Seems like I got studs at all the secondary positions like TE, K and DEF. plus I get to cheer for the Bears D which is nice. Thankfully I had a good QB keeper so that position is locked up. I’m royally fucked at WR and so-so at RB and will probably have no keepers. Yahoos rankings sure didn’t account for trades and the autodrafter still fucking insists on backups at those same useless positions.

Can I interest anyone in one Austin Hooper?

I'd be willing to move Aaron Rodgers + Vance McDonald for a worse QB and a (significantly) better TE.

Nevermind, I just proposed a trade straight away. No need to let the rest of the league in our Biz....

Ugh, I lost by 10 while leaving a good 50-60 points on my bench. Pretty sure my bench alone would have won the game.

Hey now...given the parameters of your requests I thought that was a pretty good trade. What was wrong with it?

Ouch for The Mad Hermit, who made perfectly reasonable choices on who to start and got totally owned by the fantasy gods. Those fuckers are capricious.

I mean, I normally wouldn't post stuff like this in the thread, but since you asked

I wanted an upgrade at TE for a downgrade at QB. You offered Roethlisberger for Rodgers, which is fine, and Tyler Eifert for Vance MacDonald. Fantasypros, which is a good neutral aggregator services for rankings, puts Vance MacDonald as the #8 TE and Tyler Eifert as the #25 TE.

So I'd be trading the #3 QB and the #8 TE for the #14 QB and #25 TE. I lose both ends of that deal. Tyler Eifert is not the TE upgrade I was hoping for.

To be clear, I politely declined the trade with a note, so I'm not sure why this is coming out in the thread now, but since he called me out here, I'm responding here.

Oh damn I never got or saw the note with the denial. Sorry about that. Also I never would have thought that Vance MacDonald was THAT high on the TE scale and especially that high over Eifert. Definitely makes sense why you denied the trade.

My other TEs that I figured would be ranked higher are way lower too. This is probably why I'm so godawful at fantasy huh?

Wow, Weirddave is killing it in this league.

New this season are the Everyone vs Everyone records. I can re-arrange (or remove) any of the 10 individual tables, both up or down and left or right, so if you can think of a better way to present this let me know and I'll try it out. Right now I just stuck with the same 3 rows as last year plus added the two new EvE rows inside a spoiler box to limit thread clutter.

If you play in multiple SDMB leagues, be sure to check out your aggregate rankings in the Fantasy football general discussion 2019 thread.

His actual score is better than anyone else's potential best score. Amazing.

Weirddave comes back down to earth in week 3, though still leading in almost every season table due to his massive first two weeks. Still, Mundi is making a push and Beef is right there.
