I did and got Jockey Bart and Furious D; which makes me happy because it was the only one I actually wanted.

If you click on the information icon, it gives you a list of the possibilities. Jockey Bart & Furious D, Tennis Marge, Ballet Ralph, Kung Fu Comic Book Guy, or Toreador Abe.

I just got Jockey Bart and Furious D as well. The only other skin listed here that I don't have is Toreador Abe and I really don't need that. Furious D is cool though.

Oh and can I reiterate what an unfun slog Springfield Heights is? I have all the land bought and I am still at $733M. Someday I will get Billionaire Haven but I won't have a place to put it and grinding away to replenish the currencies needed there is such a pain. Getting those ads from marketing kills both the furnitures and yoga mats. I just maxed out the resorts and the only way to add revenue is to add stupid decorations, I guess.

I think just upgrading everything gets you to 1 Billion. Are you sure you don't have more buildings to purchase in the store?

I've been grinding through every week to get the donuts. It's such a nice relaxing pace now. I lucked out on what was requested at the railyard and already have over 15k blueprints today.

I must, I don't have any more buildings showing for purchase. I still have to finish upgrading resorts though.

You have to upgrade to get to $1B. I would make a building, max out it's upgrades and then put it in storage. Eventually I got to $1B.

Maybe I'll get it once I've completed the upgrades for these last resorts I put in. It's obnoxious though because the ads need yoga mats and furniture so my supply of yoga mats hover around zero as I build up the ads.

Last week's prize of 10 donuts was a nice incentive to grind out the track pieces, and this week's 20 donuts is even better. I had given up on the weekly 5-donut bonuses because it really was a grind, but now that they've relaxed the requirements, it's do-able relatively quickly.

The first week of July, I bought Abe Lincoln and George Washington, and that took me down to zero donuts. As of yesterday, I was up to 126 due to the daily tasks, find Maggie, and last week's 10-donut monorail prize. I think I won 5 donuts in the balloon pop game in Krustyland in there too. I took a chance on the prize locker for 75 donuts last night and ended up with Tennis Marge. I was hoping for Jockey Bart and Furious D, but I'm ok with Tennis Marge since I didn't have a premium-payout skin for her. If I get the 20-donut monorail prize in time, I may try another locker for Bart and the horse.

Well it's definitely a back and forth kind of thing.

What I did was while watching tv in the evenings, during commercials, I'd check the progress of all the ingredients and add people to the task whenever some were needed. You build some for a bit and then build up some other one and go back and forth and eventually max out whichever one I was targeting and then spend all of that on upgrades until I was out or needed a different ingredient.

It takes a while but you get there eventually.

Inching closer and closer.

I realized today that I only have 3 Deluxe Condos but Springfield Heights buildings don't show up as choices to build. I did finish upgrading the Exclusive Resorts but now I'm stuck without the choices available to build more.

IIRC, the resorts give very little real estate value compared to the other upgradeable buildings, even though they take so many yoga mats to build.

I think you must be missing more than than, another 7 fully upgraded Deluxe Condos only gets you another 83.3M if my math is right.

If you have 10 fully upgraded Deluxe Condos, Mansions, Valet Parking, Business Centers, and Modern Mansions, it should be worth approx 1.17B.

In case anyone missed the teaser from EA, a new event is coming and people are assuming tomorrow. So keep your Homer and Lisa (at least) free, or easily sped up or on shorter tasks. Nothing is more annoying in-game than new content an hour after you put them on 24-hour tasks that you can't cancel.

I'm used to my Kindle being a day behind in updating this game, but it's frustrating not knowing which characters to leave free for when the update hits. I've had them all free all day today. I could hunt it down on one of the blogs, but I can't be arsed to do that tonight. Minor annoyance. I just feel like griping.

It's odd that the round is all about black holes but they don't acknowledge at all that I already had a black hole in my Springfield from like a year ago

Another event that gives out new characters. Color my ass purple and happy.

But really the monorail event is still going. They need to stop overlapping events.

Is the monorail event an event? I think it's an ongoing thing like Springfield Heights and Maggie at the PlayDoh factory.

I'm not sure.

But I just completed this weeks stuff and got the 20 donuts at the end with the last weekly prize. Honestly I hope it's an ongoing thing. 20 donuts a week would be awesome.

I's having a question. All, or all the ones I've checked, of the adults have a 60 minute quest to "Buy Milk" Yet the only quests chains I have are for the current Sci-Fi event. What's up with that?

I guess for the sake of SCIENCE! I'll send a few out on it and see what happens and report back here. See ya in sixty mins.

Another 20 donuts for me. Hopefully it's a forever thing. The monorail was giving 5 donuts a week since the end of the actual monorail event but it was extremely difficult to get, time-wise. Pretty amazing if they make it this easy to get the donuts and keep it at 20/week.

That would be so cool. The reason I've been keeping on top of it and keeping chars. free is because I thought it was a limited event, but like others have said, it might not be and if that's the case then I can free up some chars. to work on the Sci-Fi event. Which would be bitchen.

So thinking about downloading this game. How is it, fun? Can I play pretty well without having to spend money?

Yes you can play just fine without money. It is very hard to play without friends, though, so go through this thread and find people to add.

If you like The Simpsons it is very The Simpsons with their exact humor and animation. That is pretty cool!

You missed the Cthulhu event (not one of my favorite ones though).

It is easy to get max friends if you use one of the websites and either post your name or add people from the list.

If you don't spend any money all you'll miss out on is Premium characters and building and decorations. I can't think of anything Premium that was actually needed to complete quests or continue the story.

I spent money early on but I haven't in the last year or two.

Now would be a good time to start as they just started a Sci-Fi event and it's planned to go for a month and there are new characters and new costumes you can earn through the event without spending any money.

I have not spent much real money on the game. I did spend some amazon credits I earned for dl content to my kindle and I bough a few scratchers here and there with itunes credit.

I have nearly 4000 donuts (in-game currency) from saving up, exploiting loopholes, and from playing often for a long time. You earn donuts really easily and you DO NOT NEED TO SPEND THEM to succeed in the game, in events. So unlike other similar games, you're not missing out on lots of content by not spending real money. You won't have everything, but you could have a fulfilling, fun game. And the things that cost donuts that you might decide you want? Sometimes you can win them, sometimes they're on sale, and you just save up. Besides the monorail thing (which would take ages for a new player to catch up to) there are lots of ways to earn donuts. I get probably 10 a week without trying. Most things cost less than 300 donuts, usually around 100-150 for the best, larger stuff. So being a fairly diligent and lucky player, you could earn something every couple months. Work harder and are luckier? Get more.

But the stuff that costs donuts? Some more obscure characters (other than Barney), funky buildings and decorations. The whole Simpson family is free. The Flanders are (mostly. Maude was free but I think she's premium now). Most of the power plant, the school, the bar.

It won't be a money suck unless you make it one.

Time, on the other hand...

I second that emoticon. I paid money early going by the thought of how much it was worth to me so it wasn't a whole lot. There are several ways to earn donuts built into the game now so spending for them doesn't seem necessary now, though I think you'll have a ways to go before you can get to those buildings (Monorail and Play Doh factory are the two big ones).

Some of the premium characters seem more needed than others -- I don't regret getting Barney or Duffman, though getting the Duffman skin at the sportsball event was pointless.

And speaking of donuts, I just got some free ones for logging in just now.

4000 donuts Fair Rarity? Holy guacamole!

If you visit a friend and the screen pans to a floating cube, click on it as one of your actions; it gives you 5 dark matter instead of 2.

We all got 15 free donuts today. So if we have 10 events a year (conservatively) and you earn 10 from each event, that's 100 donuts right there, enough to buy something fairly decent.

Yeah, about 3900 donuts. I had been squirreling them away. Hadn't bought much since Belle, but when the "final" level hit, I took advantage of the glitch and burned through all my in-game cash to buy bloodmobiles for the XP and got 3000+ level up donuts. Haven't bought anything but the Burns and Smithers robot since then.

I got past 200 donuts and I'm thinking Powell Motors. Anyone get that? What do you think?

Currently I have 130+ characters. The number of characters in this game is incredible.

I'm going to sit for a bit to see what else is offered during this event. Although, the Space Collider with the black hole is intriguing. I guess it was a prize during an event last year? Not sure how I missed out on it -- I'm usually finishing the events fairly easily.

As for dumping money into the game, I've spent maybe $25.00 in scratchers over a 3-year period. The game is perfectly enjoyable without spending a dime. As has been said, there are an insane number of characters, most of them free. And donuts for the last few months have been a lot easier to come by, so saving up for a premium character or item hasn't been that difficult.

With this current event, it looks like I'm going to end up with a buttload of holotulips because I can't see myself crafting 11 of any other item.

Tulips all the way. When you craft stuff, it counts towards leveling up, so don't spend your event currency updating your crafting level. Spend it on crappy craftables you can keep in storage in case some day you do want/need them. Two birds, one stone.

I was referring to future bucks. They don't count toward leveling. And you can use them only on items you've maxed out at 11. I just don't see myself crafting 11 of anything. The only reason I maxed the tulips was because it completed a task.

Ah.

I've moved to crafting trees. I have a lot of tree farms.

I like this event more than the last few, but I'm tired. And I think I have to re-do my town and put ugly stuff in storage. I mean, I used to not put stuff that made money in storage, but I don't use my monorail, I hate my casinos mostly, and this event's stuff is big and So. Much.

Good call on the trees. I hadn't realized that they were in the prize track. I haven't got to them yet but should tonight after I get the Holo Hula Hoop or whatever. That will likely be where I dump my Future Bucks. I did see, however, that there's something called a Future Buck Conversion Pack or something coming up. Not sure what that's all about.

I'm at 21394 crystal things and I don't think that I'll get to 24000. I would have liked Sgt. Skinner and I usually get to the end of the act prizes with a day or more to spare but I'm surprised how far off I am this time around.

I had the same experience; I feel like I must have been missing something.

Me too.

The last couple of events I was on track and got every prize. I'm not even going to get the prize before Sgt. Skinner this time around.

I had a thought about being behind on the event.

What I have been doing is not bothering to tap on individual robots but just doing the the triggers the flying robot attack on the black hole machine. The regular robots disappear during the event so I assumed they were being destroyed and I was getting the stuff from them.

But maybe it disappears the robots with out collecting their stuff.

So if anyone knows whats actually going on please share with the class. I'm going to some digging around and see if I can find anything.

Over at https://tstoaddicts.com/ they have up two polls.

One asking if people were able to get Sgt. Skinner about 50% said yes. 50% no and weren't going to be able too.

And the other one is asking how many times did they log in each day. 33% said 4-5 times daily. Another 1/3 said 3+ times a day.

I've only been doing it twice a day on weekdays and then on and off again all weekend. I guess I just need to add a morning session to make it 3 times a day. I can't do more than that as WiFi is locked at work so I can't do a session there.

Oh well. I'm not going to miss Skinner anyways. We''l see what the next acts' prize is tomorrow.

I'm 900 away with five and a half hours to go, and three hours to my next fight. I maxed out what I could get from friends, something I don't usually do. Even if I'm able to stay awake the next three hours to collect from that last round of Homers and do the battle. I think I'm still short.

It occurred to me that I started the event a day or two late because the update wasn't immediately available on Kindle. That would help explain why I'm not finishing act one, but even that aside, I can't believe 50% of players updated late. It's just been a tight event.
