RIP - Peter Fonda Dead at 79

Quote:
Two-time Oscar nominee Peter Fonda, who became a counterculture icon when he co-wrote, produced and starred in seminal 1969 road movie “Easy Rider,” then showed Hollywood he could act about three decades earlier in “Ulee’s Gold,” died on Friday from lung cancer at his home in Los Angeles. He was 79.

His sister Jane Fonda said in a statement, “I am very sad. He was my sweet-hearted baby brother. The talker of the family. I have had beautiful alone time with him these last days. He went out laughing.”

I liked him in Easy Rider.

All 3 writers of Easy Rider are gone now and only Jack is left of the stars.

A coincidence, Arte TV just showed the Woodstock film, and now "Easy Rider" is about to start. Although I OUGHT to like it, after having seen it at least three times, I never really got into the movie. Maybe I have to try again.

What?
Fonda famously inspired John Lennon to write “She Said She Said” at a party by repeatedly saying “I know what it’s like to be dead!” while tripping on acid.
