For most people it's the theme from the Muppet Show. I have special ringtones for a few people though.

I have Tune_Eurotrance for my normal ringtone.

Calls from my wife ring with Our House by madness (it was Everthing She Does is Magic for a while, I think I need to change it up again).

When I'm on call, the calls that ring to me have Tune_Down2Business

Anyone know where I can find the opening guitar riff from Long Cool Woman in a Black Dress by the Nollies?

I think that would make an awesome ringtone

Just changed the wife's ringtone to Cannonball by the Breeders. We'll see how that one works.

My main ringtone is "First Call", better known as the call to post that is played when racehorses step on the track.

My text notification tone is Special Ed from "Crank Yankers" saying "Yay! I got mail! Yay!"

The Futurama and Buffy themes have also been recently used.

Um. It's Der Kommisar. In my own defense, I only got a narrow choice because my phone is uber-cheap, so I picked the silliest 80s song. Someday when I upgrade, I'm going to have favorite Bollywood tunes!

I don't know who the Nollies are, but the Hollies are available on iTunes.
If you have an iPhone or can otherwise import ringtones from iTunes, you can make your own out of any song.

I'm pretty sure this is legal; I trust somebody will say so if otherwise.

I've made my own. For family (for obvious reasons), it's a short excerpt from the Ramayana, popularly referred to as the Balinese Monkey Chant.

For some of my friends, it's a clip from Crsytal Method's "Name of the Game," where the dude says, "Listen, all you mothaf***as!"

Or a clip from the Fear Factory cover of Gary Numan's "Cars."

Default is the opening synthesizer riff from "Won't Get Fooled Again" by the Who.

When my wife calls, it's the opening riff from "All Along the Watchtower" by Hendrix.

I'm sure it's legal, too, as I make my own. I don't see how it could be otherwise, as long as you are using the track for your own private use.

Anyway, I have three:

My default one is "I Hear the Voices" by Hall & Oates.

I have "Who Can It Be Now?" as a second ringtone for when I get bored with the first one.

My brother gets "Rock and Roll Part 2" by Gary Glitter. No particular reason. I just like the tune.

Regular, default ringtone for telephone calls is an old-school ringing telephone I ripped from an episode of A Prairie Home Companion. Regular, default tone for SMS/MMS is a snipet from Monty Python and the Holy Grail: "Ffffffffffft! Message for you, Sir!"

I have others for specific people. My girlfriend's phone ringtone is Donna Summer's "Love to Love You, Baby" and SMS/MMS ringtone is a sonar ping (it's a Hunt for Red October reference).

For calls from work, I hear that "worst ringtone ever" ringtone from the GEICO commercial. It used to be Admiral Adama saying "Some days, I really hate this frakkin' job."

You rang?

The Unofficial Addams Family Home Page

It has the doorbell, several assorted Lurch vocalizations ("Follow me", "You rang?", Lurch's groan), and other assorted wave files from the show. Just right-click and save. Then you can import into iTunes and convert it to an AAC file if you want to use it for an iPhone.

Well, you all got me energized to go find some ringtones. For my work, it's Monty Python's "bring out yer dead!" Hubby: Elvis' "Burning love" , my children, "Addams Family theme", for general, ACDC's "highway to Hell"

Tainted Love.

But I want to find a ringtone that is an excerpt of a song that begins with a phone ringing. Then if you let it go on it goes on into the real song. Ideal for this purpose is "Wow, I can get sexual, too", by Say Anything, because the ring turns into a beat that's good for a ringtone, and then climaxes (heh) with the chorus of "I called her on the phone and she touched herself"

Unfortunately since I have Virgin Mobile I don't think I can download random ringtones. The ones available through Virgin never have the actual phone ringing as part of the ringtone.

Default ringtone - Judas Priest, "Living After Midnight."
My father - Ozzy, "Crazy Train."
My Mother- Iron Maiden, "Run to the Hills."
My sister - Bon Jovi, "Wanted Dead or Alive." (this one doesn't really fit the theme, but we've got a long-running inside joke about it)

My old phone had a Guns N' Roses theme - "Night Train" was the default. I got a couple of REALLY odd looks when I forgot to turn it off before an AA meeting and someone called.

Sean Paul - "Get Busy"

I've had that one for a couple years now - I just never get tired of it!

Once in a while, for a little change of pace, I switch over to "Don't Fear the Reaper" but it never lasts long. Sex trumps Death every time!

Thought I'd bump since it's not really a zombie:

I took the verse from "Stairway To Heaven" that when you reverse it sounds like Plant is singing "Here's to my sweet Satan." I used Audacity to reverse it, then converted it to a ring tone in iTunes. It certainly gets my attention now.

The witch crying with background music from the video game series Left 4 Dead.

I use that because it means I have stop everything I'm doing and answer a call and not be able to do much of anything while on the call. That makes me sad and want to cry.

EDIT: I also used to use the Skype incoming call music.

My general ringtone is a bit from "Heads Will Roll" by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, this after I forgot to mute the phone during class and everyone was exhorted to "Shake Ya Ass" by Mystikal.

My sister's ring is Lafayette from True Blood saying, "Ring, ring, hooka. Ring, ring."
My brother - "White and Nerdy"
My mother - "Sympathy for the Devil"

Daft Punk's Harder Better Faster Stronger. It opens with a few seconds of white noise that isn't irritating but is surprisingly conspicuous, and I can usually answer the phone before it gets too intrusive.
