No. 1 Nephew checks in hot.

Email from my sister this morning in forms me that Alex is reporting a lack of sense of smell, one of the odd side effects of COVID-19. He and his SO both have it. They're in Bushwick, Brooklyn, a hot mess of people too close together. They are mid-thirties and very healthy, nasty virus not withstanding, so Sis is trying to not be too concerned. They're quarantined and have friends for supplies and had already stocked up, but you can only get so much stuff.

Lots of respiratory viral infections cause anosmia. About 30% of people with allergic and viral rhinitis report loss of sense of smell.

Here's hoping they heal quickly from whatever they have.
