Smoothie base

Just got a blender and want to make smoothies. I prefer bananas and strawberries, but what should I use for the binder, whats most inexpensive? Tofu, yogurt?

I tend to start with unsweetened almond milk and a banana.

Just remember that whatever else you put in a smoothie, once you add the banana, it's a banana smoothie.

You missed us by about 7 weeks.
There's a lot of good discussion (and recipes) in

Unsweetened vanilla almond/cashew milk blend with frozen [raspberries or blue berries or strawberries or black berries, or a mix of all] and maybe a dash of Splenda or Stevia.

Absolutely celestial!!!!!!!
