Ask The Poster!

Rules are quite simple.
1. No necroposting (aka no answering questions older than a year)
2. No spam ('cause it's annoying)
3. Keep it PG-13 (i.e. nothing too explicit)
4. Respect is key
5. Reply to the poster if you are ANSWERING and add a comment if you are ASKING

The gameplay goes as follows:
A person will ask a question to the person who posted on this thread. Said person must answer within a 48 hour period and answer with honesty. Once finished, the question-asker is now liable to receive a question as they go on. Such follows for the rest of time (or until this thread gets deleted)

Good luck everyone!

ETA, I just reread the rules.

Origin or meaning? I'll do both.
Around 2007, I was a just starting about with the internet (yeah I'm not that old) but I came across Club Penguin for the first time. By using a random number generator (7402) and a random word generator (Snazzy Rock), I cemented myself in its glory. Yet, eventually, I posted a poll on Tumblr and changed the name to Captain.

As for the meaning, not much is to be said to the actual meaning but it does sound nice.
Thank you for the first reply!

I'd like to go ahead and ask the Prof a question, before anybody else does.

You've referred to painters and artists in Boticelli frequently, and that you help your wife with art exhibits. What is your background in the Arts?

I like 'I've seen fire and I've seen rain'
The song in the OP has a special meaning to me. I noticed it early in my time here. I do know snippets of lots of songs and it's easy enough to verify them and post in the thread.
It's made me listen to songs again. I now have a bunch more songs downloaded. The lyrics I don't know have made me go investigate them. As a result I've found some more music I like. It's just all-around good fun. I usually like all the thread games.

My wife is a sculptor of little dragons and gargoyles and such, and we sell them at Science Fiction/Fantasy/Gamer/Comic Book conventions.

I myself am a retired fine and decorative arts appraiser of 14 years experience. I've seen a lot of fake Picassos and Stradivarius violins. (My favorite was the guy who insisted his violin was real, 'cause it had a label saying "Stradivarius & Son" on it. In English.) [FYI, Stradivarius didn't sign any of his violins. There are no unaccounted for Stradivarius violins.]

I had read the Straight Dope books, and found the SDMB way back in 2001. Cecil was my source for answers to esoteric questions before fact sites on the interwebs. I lurked for a while, then acted like I was part of the crowd as far as making my presence known. I had message board experience with BBSes, so I knew the wrong way to introduce myself. :-)

CaptainSnazzy7402, so you are kind of new to the internet. How do you see things differently from those who have been on it for more years?
