Just saw the 1995 political/romantic comedy The American President, starring Michael Douglas and Annette Bening, and noticed two ST alums in it.

Ron Canada, as a reporter:

Joan Collins (Edith Keeler) and Marina Sirtis (Deanna Troi) both appear in this 1978 British TV ad for Cinzano: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rkji...ature=youtu.be

The most recent episode of The Orville included Sirtis as a teacher, and also ST alums Tony Todd, Ron Canada and F. Murray Abraham; it was directed by Jonathan Frakes.

Just watched Witness for the Prosecution (1957) - a great murder mystery/courtroom drama - again, and spotted Ian Wolfe as a barrister's servant and Torin Thatcher as the lead prosecutor.

Aaaand in the 2016 remake of Witness for the Prosecution (very different from, but even better than, the 1957 original IMHO), Kim Cattrall appears as the man-hungry Mrs. French.

Joseph Ruskin ("Galt") in the HH episode "The Gestapo Takeover."

Barbara Anderson ("Lenore Karidian") in the M:I episode "Break!" Barbara replaced Linda Day George ("Casey") in seven of the ten episodes she missed the final season while she was on maternity leave.

Ken Lynch, chief mining engineer in The Devil in the Dark, played a police sergeant in 77 Sunset Strip, Don't Wait For Me.
As I remarked before, this actor was in many 1960s programs.

terentii, how many episodes of Mission: Impossible do you have left to watch? If you're up to the Barbara Anderson era (and you're watching them in order), you should be getting near the end.

And where are you watching them? It hasn't been on any of my channels for a few years.

It's on five days a week on CHCH here in Toronto, from 14:00 to 15:00. They started the final season last week, so there are another 20 or so episodes left to go. (I'm looking forward to the one where they trick Vic Morrow into thinking he can't remember the last three decades.)

I have Rogers Cable; I've never tried to pick up CHCH through the ether.

77 Sunset Strip "5" the episode that dumped everyone save Efram Zimbalist, Jr. I could have sworn Victor Buono was in a TOS episode, but I can't find it. At any rate, the prime find, William Shatner is in "5", episode 1.

Robert Phillips ("Nice place you have here, Captain!") in the M:I episode "The Deal."

I just discovered that the voice of "Transporter Chief Pitcairn" in "The Cage" (played by Clegg Hoyt*) was dubbed by Bob Johnson, the guy who recorded "Division Seven's" assignments for the IMF each week: "Your mission, Dan/Jim, should you decide to accept it...."

*Any relation to John "Dr Boyce" Hoyt, I wonder?

As an aside, the IMDb notes for "The Cage" say the unnamed transporter technician was one of three Starfleet personnel ever to be seen wearing corrective eyeglasses. In what episode(s) were the other two?

Just saw Close Encounters of the Third Kind again - it holds up pretty well - and of course noticed Terri Garr as the hero's baffled wife.

Gary Lockwood ("Gary Mitchell") and Jason Evers ("Rael") in the M:I episode "The Question." This episode was written by Stephen Kandel, who wrote the "Harry Mudd" episodes of TOS.

I haven't been keeping track either, but the name Kandel jumped out at me. The quality of the episodes really went downhill toward the end, but this one was definitely above average.

He was also in the pilot for the TV version of The Cowboys (1974), playing a bad guy again.

Looking at the cast list for that show, I also see Ted Gehring (the "Second Cop" in "Assignment: Earth"), Clint "Balok" Howard, and Ian "Septimus"/"Mr Atoz" Wolfe.

Jan "Lt Mira Romaine" Shutan as "Lizz" in William Dozier's unsold Dick Tracy pilot of 1967.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=edF_b-Fc0bI

Eve Plumb of Brady Bunch fame was in this one too. (No particular reason to mention this, other than I've always had a "thing" for Eve Pumb. )

... and The Shat himself as Alexander the Great in the unsold pilot of the same name (1963), brought to you by the producers of Combat!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I4yObXTbySI

Captain Kirk and Batman in the same series. What a missed opportunity! (Well, kinda....)

Notice how the Greek letter "Sigma" easily transforms into the Latin "E"....

We're at our favorite (non-chain) Italian restaurant the other day for dinner and they have "Bonanza" on the TV [] and there's Kathie Browne. Sorry, I couldn't tell you which episode it was as they had the sound off and I've never watched a "Bonanza" (or "Ponderosa") epi. Not a fan.

According to IMDb, she was on that show six times. As a woman on Bonanza, I assume she was dead by the end of each episode she appeared in.

The story for "Wink of an Eye" was written by Lee Cronin, aka former producer Gene Coon, who may have contributed more to the series than anyone else. He also produced Wild, Wild West for a time, from which he must have lifted the premise for this story (written by John Kneubuhl).
