I picked up a dead snake my husband killed in the vegetable garden. He said it was a baby rattlesnake, no live ones.

I was bitten by a garter snake ( intentionally). It was loose in our garage and I had to catch it, or my gf would have never been happy. I reached under a workbench, let it grab my hand, and caught it with my other hand. It hurt.

Have you ever hitchhiked?

In Jamaica a guy thought I was an American action-movie star. Our conversation eventually evolved into how race affected ability to identify individuals. We were both high af and ended up hanging out the rest of the day.

Yes. Years ago, I was in the habit of throwing expired credit cards in my desk drawer. My then-wife recoiled in horror at this, and I ended up cutting up about four old credit cards in a few minutes.

Yes. I was president of the Concessions Club in high school, so I went and worked at all the home games, and was frequently snowed upon. Our team always lost, but I made a few bucks.

Is bowling a sport? I was on a bowling team in high school.
And the school wrestling team.
And played for an intramural softball team in college.

Have you ever just skipped Christmas (no decoration, no fancy meal, no celebration of any kind)?

We try to do it every other year. It's blissful.

Yes, I've swum or waded on 5 different coasts of the Pacific and 6 of the Atlantic. I've also paddled in the Indian Ocean and in the Mediterranean, which I know is a sea, not an ocean.

Yes, I had a Rat Terrier who was 20+ when she died. About age 16 she started breaking teeth. One cold night she had a broken tooth start hurting. Pawing at her mouth and whining. Itwas too late and ice-y to go to the vet. My husband got out a toolman. I dosed her up with a tranquilizer we had gotten from the vet for another issue. We pried her mouth open. I reached in could easily feel the abcess. I went to wiggle it around to make looser and it came right out in my hand. No tool needed. I did it several more times. We eventually had all her teeth pulled.

Have you ever pulled one of your own adult teeth?

No, but I know enough about shingles to successfully "diagnose" a friend last month--she was complaining about symptoms but didn't know what they meant. I'm not a health care professional, but hubby had it when he was young, shortly before the anti-virals were introduced, and has had post-herpetic neuralgia on and off for many years.

Maybe. I cannot remember for sure. I have been to the top of Astor's Column, which is taller than a lighthouse (a lot of steps), kind of shaped like one, and the ocean is visible across the Columbia bar.

Outside of grade school, once. But it was at the home of the Cleveland Symphony, and the entire crowd (several thousand) were divided by vocal range, given books, and we sang the entirety of Handels' "Messiah".

Not deliberately, but twice hubby and I have accidentally walked out of supermarkets with big loads of groceries and without having paid for a small bagful of fruit that was overlooked in the seat area of the shopping cart. The first time was in Walmart in Mexico (where BTW the bakeries are excellent, far superior to the bakeries in American Walmarts) and the second time was in Canada. We joke that we've unintentionally become international fruit thieves.

Yes, not pleasant. I am agoraphobic to some degree. If I can't see an exit I panic. The last time was at a meeting for parents at a school and the exit was blocked because people didn't come all the way in and find seats. I just had to leave or freak out. I got out and got to my car.

Heck, I'm involved in the local pro wrestling promotion (though not as a wrestler). And kayaker is correct when he says that it has plenty of fans who are adults without kids.

Tornado? No, but I have weathered a microburst, which might as well be the same thing. I had to pull over my car, and hope that it and I didn't get blown away.

I rode through a red light on my bicycle because it was clear all ways and was not going to change for me (often the sensors in the road will pick up a bicycle, but this light may have been using some kind of crappy optical sensors). Got a ticket for it, too.

Of course. I spent many happy days in my youth playing in the Maryland and Delaware surf. And as long as you count the Gulf of Mexico as "ocean", I still do it regularly. You can't go surf fishing all day without some relief.
