ASUS G74SX-XA1 Republic of Gamers 17.3-Inch Gaming Laptop for sale

It's this one.

Here's the deal: My mother spent a whole lotta time in the hospital in October. I wanted to be there a whole lot, but there was no way I could spend that much time away from work, so I bought this laptop so I could work from the hospital. Now she's home, and I really can't justify keeping it as I will rarely use it.

It's a big, fancy laptop with a really nice screen. It's barely used. In fact, I didn't really install much on it at all, since my work involved me using TeamViewer to remote into my desktop machine at home. So it's got Teamviewer on it, and Firefox. Other than that, all I did was remove a bunch of the adware it came with.

I have the original box it came with, and all the original disks. For all intents and purposes, it's just about new. It would make a GREAT gaming or power PC, it's actually a very nice machine. It has a full keyboard (rare in a laptop). The only thing I can say against it is that it is big and heavy, but if you want a laptop with a 17" screen, that's pretty much unavoidable.

Make me an offer.

Geez, that thing's a monster. I can't make you an offer that wouldn't be insulting, but I'll ask around a bit. Best of luck!

Just posting to say that I have this laptop spec minus the boss video card. I give the laptop a definite thumbs-up. As Athena says, it is big and heavy, but you get used to it after a while and--full keyboard and screen! It's worth your offer.

I want it but...

Not sure about buying used... does it come with anything else like a backpack as I've seen some described? Also I think this model was recently replaced with a newer one so will have to explore the difference. Do you have a range in mind of how much you would want? II don't want to insult you either but I'm definitely interested....

It does not come with a backpack. Just the machine itself, the original box, and the original disks it came with.

As far as price, make me an offer. I don't really have a price in mind. I won't be insulted if it's too low, I'll just say no.

Does it have Wi-Fi? If it's still available I'd be willing to pay $500.

If by "wi-fi" you mean it can connect to a wireless network, the answer is yes.

I do, however, want more than $500 for it.

You might get a better response if you gave a ballpark figure. I've thought about inquiring about this item, but I'm not going to play a guessing game.

I'm interested in it. Would you take $700 for it?

Sorry, thought this thread had died.

I have a local offer for $950 that I'm considering, so any other offer would be have to be more than that.

I'd jump on it. People are leery of used electronics, regardless of condition.
