Although, in a semi-serious note, it would be a good parody of Whitewashing, and as a bonus, get the lucrative Chinese movie market.

I would prefer to see Rick Moranis coming back from retirement and de-aged digitally.

Semyon Rozenfeld, last known surviving escapee from Sobibor, died at age 96 (or 97, he was born in 1922 but I can't find a month/day) in Israel on June 3.

I think Mel Brooks would be a great Goodgulf. As far as Frito, etc. are concerned, I'd love to see the actors who played Bilbo, Frodo, Sam, Merry, and Pippin in Peter Jackson's LOTR play Dildo, Frito, Spam, Moxie, and Pepsi in a movie adaptation of BOTR.

I think you'd need someone goofier than Viggo Mortensen to play Arrowroot of Arrowshirt, though.

David "Big Papi" Ortiz was shot over the weekend in the Dominican Republic. I don't think his injuries are life threatening, but he does have liver and gall bladder damage.

Do I understand that Peter Max is still alive, but suffering from dementia? Was she his primary caregiver, or is he in some sort of care center?

Apparently, Mary was taking care of Peter, but the whole thing was a horrible legal battle.

Quote:
Mary Max figured prominently in the disputes, telling a court that one of Max's sons from a previous marriage, Adam Max, had improperly taken custody of him and kept him from other relatives.

Adam Max countered with his own allegations, accusing Mary Max of being abusive toward her husband — allegations she denied.

A court returned Peter Max to his wife's care, but the fights over his art have continued.

Egypt’s former president, Mohammed Morsi died in court today; 67 years old.
Quote:
The 67-year-old Morsi had just addressed the court, speaking from the glass cage he is kept in during sessions and warning that he had “many secrets” he could reveal, a judicial official said. A few minutes afterward, he collapsed, the official said, speaking on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to talk to the press.

State TV said Morsi died before he could be taken to the hospital.

He was a great historian, and an even greater teacher. He was my favorite professor in college. I took three classes from him (including once cramming five classes into a semester just so I could take his course), and even though my career is not related to history, I still often think about him and the lessons I learned from him.

RIP, Professor Brinkley

I don't think I've ever been in the top 10 before without a bandwagon pick.

I don't know what your definition of 'bandwagon pick' is, but 15 of us had Fatima Ali (7th most popular pick this year), including you.

She's still the difference between zero and tied for 10th for a half-dozen of us.

I think I meant "only" bandwagon picks.
But really, I'm not sure what I meant because that statement doesn't make sense at all.

Still TOP 10!

Here are the corrected scores. Leaffan, the first number is the total of points for the player, the second is how many correct picks they have, and the third is how many of those picks are unique.
