Actually, the average is slightly less than one. There are slightly more women than men in the world, and every man who loses one or both testicles to disease or misadventure also brings the average down.

Something about this post by LAZombie in the Amber Guyger thread really rubs me the wrong way. Its not that I canít put it into words, itís just that Iím not sure thereís a way to do it without violating board rules.

They appear to be already gone. I can't get anything from your link, though that may be a Tapatalk bug

Mr Lum racked up one warning pretty darn quick. Just on a hunch, I Googled him - he (or someone with that username) has been around on other similar messageboards and has been banned from at least one of them, so the signs aren't great, but Dope springs eternal.

The fuck's up with Lumpy in the Trump supporter thread? Bad enough that he wrote the most stomach-turningly repulsive post that I have ever read in the dope, a ways back. So repulsive, in fact, was the post, that I can't get myself to re-print it, it was that fucking vile. Suffice to say, at the end of that post, he said something along the lines that he might die and burn and hell for what he just wrote, and I couldn't have agreed more.
And then, his STD-ish flouncyness yesterday.

Well I for one care deeply about Annoyed's opinion of me and my actions, because I desperately need the validation of random strangers on the internet.

Oh wait - no I don't. Actually, I'm good.

The random strangers on the internet that you spend your free time googling and stalking and posting about how you are googling and stalking?

Sorry - late add - actually, Lumpy wasn't at all trolling in that thread, given the unfortunate OP, which produced evidently skeevy results.
And the search for the snark thread was in relation to what I cited.

You'd be surprised at the lengths some of these folks go to track and document their targets. They spend decades picking on folks and when bored pick on folks in a "retro" fashion. It's truly symptomatic of a mental illness.

As someone who has worked in a prison, I can speak to the term being used with great frequency there. Not sure if it originated there, but it's well-known enough to not need an explanation when it's used.

I’m hesitant to ask the moderating staff to reveal the red flags that inspire deeper probing into a poster’s bona fides, but I wonder if one of them is that they create a new account, then wait several months before they make their first post.

In the case of the Duke (who registered in February), his entire output consists of 21 posts, the first of which came less than three weeks ago (highly incendiary, followed by a mundane one within the hour; then 19 more just yesterday, many of them non-political and normal-looking).

Personally, I’m leaning against sock, although that may reveal more about my own aptitude as a sock-hunter than anything else.

TIL 1) what a "chomo" is, and 2) that typing someone's name into Google once constitutes obsessive stalking.

Don't be ridiculous. I bet octopus could provide you with a whole list of examples of people engaging in that sort of behaviour, going back years.

Aw, now we'll never know whether he was a refugee from the Northeast, or taking refuge there.

I mean, unless he were to come back as a sock. Which of course will never happen.
