Alternate universe, I think - a version of Tony whose wife was still alive, but who had nevertheless used Rick's toilet.

I don't know much about Reddit, but I also think the whole episode was amazing. Dr. Wong was specifically amazing because she showed everyone that Rick isn't always as clever as he might think he is AND not everyone else is stupid and/or insecure.

I thought The Old Man and the Seat totally fucking rocked. There's a lot going on. I especially liked how Morty was clearly the knowledgable, competent adult by the end of the episode.

I was under the impression that Rick "didn't do" time travel. In "The ABCs of Beth," he gets some pizzas from Arnaldo's, which is closed for the night in their dimension, and then says, "By the way, that wasn't time travel."

"Elon Tusk" had me amused until I got to the credits and found out it was actually Elon voicing him. Elon can go die in a fire.

Aw, I at least think a little better of him for being willing to voice himself - or an alternate-universe version of himself - on RAM.

Loved the Star Trek V and Raiders of the Lost Ark references in the latest episode. And a boobytrap-proof suit would come in pretty handy (although I couldn't quite make out what the undead queen said after "Who dares disturb my sleep" and before she gets crushed - anyone?). Also loved all the twists and betrayals and flashback-reveals - a perfect deconstruction of heist movies even as Rick explains just how much they bore him. LOL. And Prof. Poopybutthole kicks, er, butt!

Favorite lines:

"Total waste of snakes."
"More like TryingTooHardCon."
"Let that ointment sit for ten minutes, or you'll die. Don't let it sit for twelve, or I'll have to hunt down what you've become."
"Labcoat: rip off Doctor Strange!"
"Your boos mean nothing - I've seen what makes you cheer!"
"Every breath I take without your permission raises my self-esteem."
"You son of a bitch. I'm in." (repeated ad infinitum)
"Let's get ready to not rumble. Bet you you didn't see that coming."

I'm posting quick thoughts on One Crew Over The Crewcoo's Morty without reading anyone else's thoughts.

I loved it and thought it was the best episode of the season and perhaps one of the top 5 episodes of the whole show. Loved how it portrayed heists and how dumb those movies are. Loved everything about it. I laughed a bunch of times and will now forever be saying, "Your boos mean nothing to me. I have seen what makes you cheer."

Something like:

"Wait. Why would anyone design a trap to crush the body buried inside the tomb?"

It could've used a final double-cross where it turns out that Rick's plan was all part of Morty's plan to get him to leave him alone about his heist novel.

I am a teacher and I told my teacher friends about:

"Your boos mean nothing - I've seen what makes you cheer!"

and

"Every breath I take without your permission increases my self-esteem"

When you have a difficult class, these quotes are golden.

I'm not sure what was more out-there in this last episode - the revelation that dragons are all total sluts, or that Jerry's talking cat apparently was responsible for some sort of genocide.

Yup. All the discourse when a dragon would wander in was great. "Who the fuck are we?? Who the fuck are you???"

"The man with the pony tail speaks true."

Except he destroys the microverse that Zeep created, killing all of the aliens therein. And by extension the microverse with the tree people in it. That's like, a genocide within a genocide, man.

Definitely a visual episode last night, and a bit christmassy, as the last one of the season. It does strike me as a possible troll, and there's more to come, I wasn't of that opinion at the start, it didn't strike me as any sort of finale.

I had to turn on the subtitles to see if the snakes stuff was being translated. I'm wondering if it was on any broadcast (I got it from a non standard source).

Rick: "Swallow this centipede so you won't have to go."

Morty: "I ain't swallowing no centipede!"

Rick: "What, you think it wants to eat your pee? You're not the victim in this transaction."

Getting back to the Dragon ep some....I've heard people say its the worst ep yet. Which is ridiculous. The quoted exchanges above alone make it hilarious. All the Dan Harmon stuff as a wizard was great.

Some people on YT have tried to figure out what Jerry and Rick saw in the cats head. I don't think there actually is an answer. Maybe they saw what was in the Pulp Fiction briefcase.

Regardless, clues offered are:

The cat likes Florida
Jerry mentions he has pictures of his parents in the house.
Old people like Florida

I want to add my own: Cats will just sit and watch you no matter what freaky ass sex thing you are getting up to. No judgement. And a lot seem like they would have little reaction to an ongoing genocide or even seeing their 'owner' getting killed.

So MAYYYYBEEE the cat was witness to some alien-on-old age home resident sexual slaughter? Death by Ooggiedeboogedy?? And maybe the aliens gave the cat the ability to talk and told it to spread the story far and wide??

And cats being cats, "Whatever. I just wanna be warm and have fun."

Still don't think there's a real answer. Not even THAT I think would make Rick think about killing himself to get it out of his head.

Agreed. Who would have thought that an episode in which much of the dialogue is untranslated and unsubtitled would be so funny?

Catching up.

Lighter-than-air Jerry was hilarious. Loved the wedding picture on his phone of an unimpressed Beth carrying him.

The snake episode was pretty good - enjoyed the references to The Terminator and A Sound of Thunder (and did you notice the poster for Back to the Future in the Eighties snakes' physics lab?), not to mention the cranked-up-to-11 killing-Snake-Hitler bit. I was a little taken aback by the snake sex once the professor entered the observation room, but hey, it's Rick and Morty, so what the hell.

I thought it was Liam Neeson doing the red dragon's voice in the pervy dragon episode, but I see it was another Liam (Cunningham, of Game of Thrones). Good job.

I read a youtube commentor on that video who suggested that the entire sets of clips shown is a psych out and none of that footage will actually be used. I like that theory.
