COD Black Ops 4 Blackout (their battle royale mode) is free for a week on battle.net. 85GB download though. How they managed to need 85GB for a limited mode run on a tweaked quake 3 engine is a bit of a mystery to me.

Iím certain youíre downloading a full-featured game that has most of the content locked. If you like it enough to pay for the whole thing you unlock the rest. I think most limited demos are like that.

I own it already and this is a great adventure game series. Well worth....well, zero.

If you liked Monkey Island and other games back in the early 90's, this is about the closest to that kind of game. I played all 4 and while the last one was a bit of a disappointment, the original trilogy was great.

Man, there's too much free stuff going on and I get too lazy to post it all. I missed a few freebies this week that already expired. If you want to make sure you catch everything, subscribe to www.reddit.com/r/gamedeals

Epic games store has jackbox party pack (1) free.

Endless space free but it requires making an account and linking it to your steam account from some site I've never heard of so meh.

Yep pretty much every week there are 1 or 2 decent free games.

Jackbox Party Pack is pretty fun with a couple friends and cell phones.

I think the Endless Space store is from the company that makes Endless Space. I linked my Steam account, claimed the game, then unlinked.

I was trying to download something on Origin yesterday and I was cut off in the middle of the download and haven't been able to log-in since.

Deep Rock Galactic can be played for free from Steam this weekend; game needs to be purchased (25% off) to keep playing.

Looks to be L4D in an asteroid mine.

Tried it out, it's a cool game. Very immersive, and procedurally generated levels. So far equal parts exploration, mining, and combat. Supposed to be very co-op friendly too.

It's been on my wishlist for awhile; played the tutorial last night. Will definitely pick this up but at a deeper discount.

Yeah I've played 4 or 5 missions now, and the missions take me 20 minutes or more each. It's a neat game and I'm happy to see some variety in the mines after the first 3 or 4, but I too want a deeper discount. I get too many AAA games that are only a few years old cheap or free these days.

Slime Rancher is free on epic launcher for a couple of weeks. The premise seems a bit silly but it's 96% positive on steam, so it's probably pretty fun.

I had it on my Xbox when it was free for Live Gold members. I played it for 10 minutes and deleted it. Maybe itís just something I donít get but it seemed annoying and boring to me.

That said, for free you have nothing to lose.

Free weekend and rare 33% off sale on Two Point Hospital:
https://store.steampowered.com/app/5...oint_Hospital/

Having missed the last sale (which was only about 15% off), I paid full-price, and I have about 60 hours into it.

There is some repetitiveness in it, but you could also view it as learning and honing your approach each hospital, which gives you a leg-up on building out the next one.

If you like the planning and layout of RimWorld or Prison Architect, I think you'll like this. And if you like wacky British humor and presentation, such as the disease "lightheadedness" where a person's head becomes a lightbulb, and is cured by a De-Lux machine, it's a hoot.

Usually those free weekends end around 3PM EST on Sunday, this one says 3 days so it looks to be the same.

Offer has been extended through March 31 because there were a LOT of login problems at bethesda.net yesterday.

Since it's a 17 year old game it's well worth considering some sort of graphics mod like Morrowind Overhaul.

I got Morrowind Overhaul working last night with some difficulty. IIRC I also had to manually install the latest version of MGE-XE to get menus and books displaying properly on a 21:9 aspect ratio monitor.

Ubisoft is giving away Assassins Creed: Unity for a week as an homage to Notre Dame. they're also donating a half-million Euros but that doesn't get you a larger gaming backlog.

When it came out in 2014, the game was reportedly gorgeous, but plagued with bugs. Hopefully, this version has the bugs corrected. In any case, it's a nice gesture.

I have a code to give away a basic account for FF14 (about 40$ value). I believe it comes with either 30 or 45 days of playtime included, though not the expansions. You can also get the Heavenward expansion (the first paid pack) for free here, if you happen to live in Europe. https://store.eu.square-enix-games.c...eavensward2019. Also, if you buy the latest expansion you ge the others included, so if you buy the upcoming Shadowbringers you will get Stormblood when Shbr launches.

Thanks for this.

A pro-tip for others downloading this: the first tutorial is terrible; it tells you to select the wingsuit then just walk off the edge.
But you in fact need to walk to the edge first, *then* (re-)select the wingsuit, then push forward to jump off. Otherwise you are just mincing around in a wingsuit unable to jump off.
The rest of the tutorial is straightforward.
