These seem to not want to look into Zeus' eyes. They get up a tree at first bark. Zeus has not figured out that he needs to sneak up on them. Running off critters is more his job anyway and letting me know that he is on the job. LOL I have seen him dispatch 2 possums, not interested in eating them, and it is sudden, violent, and done with apparent practice. Wife was with him when he put down a ground hog. I just as soon he not tangle with a big old 'he coon' that has fought dogs before. At least I don't have to fear him getting into water with one around here close. A Rottweiler and Zeus charged each other in Tractor Supply today. Nada, just wanted to introduce themselves. Dallas' owner relaxed as it was instantly obvious at about 10 feet speration there was no ill intent. It was the first time I took Zeus off his drag leash in the store. It was off for ½ a second when Dallas came around an end cap about 30 feet away.Dallas is about 70 pounds & Zeus is about 130 pounds. It could have been messy if there was bad intent on either side. I am convinced he thinks he is still a lover... Bawahahaha |

The rain stopped so Zeus & Devil & me made three who went to the Deer stand.
Devil sat on a rock & watched. Zeus sniffed and did not lay down in the wet at all. I did all the work. Those two are just slackers today. Cloudy and cool and there were many pictures of leaves and things which would be great with slow shutter speeds as there is no wind. We ran down to the mailbox and the sun came out. ::: ARG ::: The temperature shot through the roof and the humidity exploded like Mt. Saint Helen only faster. And a breeze just enough to make the leaves move a bit. ::: ARG ::: X 2 So all you get are critters. Manny deers & manny birds, look careful. 14 from 498 |

I am raining sweat and the trees are raining ticks.
Zeus killed a possum yesterday & I just found it, it's flies' it's stink, all the fun of bagging it, pouring anti stink in the bag and I will try to remember to go get & dispose of it when I can find the time , the raggedy clothes I will throw away and all this just before a shower. A squirrel has found his way to a bird feeder. ::: sigh :::: "There is the same thing on the ground in a tray right under you, fool." Zeus dug as small hole & started licking the dirt. I quit doing that when I was about 5. Either he was checking something he burred or there is a mineral he needs. He has been eating grass just a little also but his stool seems fine. (He is always digging when we are at the Deer Stand or guarding the shade for me.) 31 pictures for today. |

I have no idea, never saw one like that before. Yellow Finch, yes but that one is different and much bigger I think. He started showing up a couple of days ago but this is the best set pictures I have so far.
I was hoping that someone who knows would comment. I need to go Googling guess. I would love for someone who knows to jump in here. |

Lots of yellow, all black head, maybe light brown on top of wing, kind of a chunky Robin size??
I have not found it yet, do you know who to do that image search thing where it will look for 'like' images?? |

Bigger pictures of May 23rd from Google Pictures.
Still having a lot of trouble getting them all in the album and in the correct order. ::: sigh :::: I have better luck waiting a long time and not trying to put them all in one album. Not sure this is worth the effort. |

Last pics from this stand for the season. I am moving it to a different location since the deer need to fend for themselves now. |

Trying locations on the deck right now.
On the grey tone pictures, do you like the darker or the lighter ones or have a suggestion. The camera decides how to take the pictures, I have no real control over that. I just try to get the best result in the processing. Here you go. Last edited by GusNSpot; 05-29-2016 at 03:12 PM. |

I had 1919 pictures on the SD card & low batteries.
I swear that 1800 pictures were wasted on squirrels eating the suet. I saved 31 pictures, We have flying squirrels. So says the wife. I think she is right. Will try to make a set up to catch one in the air tomorrow night. Already set up for tonight in a different place. 31 from 1919 |

Squirrels raccoons; gypsies, tramps and thieves.
I have night video of a raccoon trying to steal from a hummingbird feeder, and falling on his ass. A woodpecker pair, cool! |
