Emergency Temporary Guardianship

If an incapacitated person's legal guardian were to unexpectedly pass away without any legal arrangements made for the individual's transference of care to a standby guardian, would that satisfy the requirement for imminent danger in order for a relative to file for and obtain temporary emergency guardianship until the matters can be settled and a more permanent care solution can be agreed upon for said incapacitated person?
