Songs where one person stops loving another person

Doesn't have to be romantic love, but I assume most songs will be. However songs about parents/children, or friendships, or nephews/aunts, or whatever are perfectly acceptable.

Basically songs where a person loses their love and interest in someone else.

Red Ragtop by Tim McGraw. Thats all I got right now.

There's Mary Chapin Carpenter's "He Thinks He'll Keep Her," about how unfulfilling it is to be a stay-at-home Mom.

Gee, I just watched this video:

SOFI TUKKER - Benadryl (Official Video) [Ultra Music]

From Sofi Tukker
Benadryl is a break up song. It’s about loving yourself enough to let something go that isn’t working. The video, directed by the crazy and wonderful Phillip Lopez, is an interpretation of two worlds: the one we are trapped in and the colorful one we are trying to free ourselves into. Ultimately, the gateway to freedom is the support of other women. There’s also something really underwater-y about the song: kind of like being on Benadryl, it’s soupy and languid and we wanted to capture that feeling.
There is the classic by Mary Chapin Carpenter:
Mary Chapin Carpenter - "He Thinks He'll Keep Her" Lyrics

And the song by the great songwrtiter Paula Cole who had a lamentably short career:
Paula Cole-Where have all the cowboys gone

Last, but not least, the great anthem by Nancy Sinatra:
Nancy Sinatra - These Boots Are Made for Walkin' (1966)

ETA: Dang, Wheelz beat me to He thinks he'll keep her. Good job, Wheelz!

You Don't Love Me by the Allman Brothers

Are these the kind of songs you are referring to?
Paul Carrack "Don't Shed A Tear"
Roberta Flack / Donny Hathaway "Where is the Love" (1972)

Silver Lining by Rilo Kiley. Includes the awesome line "I never felt so wicked, as when I willed our love to die". Really you have to hear Jenny Lewis sing it for the full effect.

Not really on topic, but the whole album it's from, Under the Blacklight, is fantastic

How about "Puff the Magic Dragon"? Whether it's an homage to drugs, or an allegory about lost childhood, or whatever - If you take it literally, Puff is sad at the end because Jackie Paper doesn't come around anymore.

I can't see where anybody's mentioned You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin' by Spector, Mann and Weil, first recorded by the Righteous Brothers, which surprises me a little since it struck me as the most obvious.

ETA: Dammit, that's what I get for taking the extra minute to research the composers.

"You Don't Love Me Anymore", "One More Minute", and "Since You've Been Gone" by Weird Al Yankovic all immediately came to mind; there's probably several more by him.
"Two Outta Three Ain't Bad" by Meat Loaf.

Randy Newman's "Just One Smile." I can't seem to find him singing it, but here's Dusty Springfield

"When Love is Gone" from The Muppets Christmas Carol

Louis Jordan's "Is You Is or Is You Ain't My Baby."

Wow! That is one of my favorite Blood Sweat & Tears songs. No idea it was a Randy Newman song. If you’re not familiar with the BST version I highly recommend it. I’ll have to seek out Newman’s.

My contributions:
“Break Your Heart” by Barenaked Ladies
“Seeing Other People” by Belle & Sebastian
“Don’t Change Your Plans For Me” by Ben Folds Five

(Yes I only listen to artists starting with “B”)

Fleetwood Mac - Go Your Own Way, The Chain

Wayne Newton - Daddy Don't You Walk So Fast - A father is leaving his daughter behind at the airport

Classics IV - Traces - Listen to Spooky and Stormy first in that order to get the full story of a love affair from beginning to end

Every Little Thing (ELT) - Time Goes By - This was a big hit in Japan in 1998 and for some reason defined that year for me, which wasn't a good one. It's not your usual I'm so sad we broke up, but "we both have something to learn from our breakup".

"Remember it one more time
The way we loved each other so much
That we were able to say "thank you"
Say goodbye...

The moment the pain and scars are left behind
We will understand the meaning of true tenderness
Surely"

I too considered Paula Cole an undeservedly one-hit wonder, but it looks like she deliberately took herself out of the limelight; she had a daughter from a brief marriage, and teaches at her alma mater, the Berklee College of Music.

2 hits - I Don't Want To Wait was arguably bigger than Cowboys even if it didn't chart as high, what with being the theme to Dawson's Creek and all.

"Out of the limelight" =/= "no career", though. But this is a hijack, so should probably be for a different thread about what constitutes a valid music career.
